excuse me, but why is my post about way out west downloads deleted? i thought it was the TA spirit to share music

i agree, TA should be about sharing music and to an extent it is. in the future thought, just remember that anything having to do with file sharing or download sites is a big taboo around here.

MP3s are evil and illegal, therefore sharing of them should not be encouraged at any time, anywhere. Oh hang on a second - aren't those evil, illegal MP3s on TA's singles downloads page?

Those mp3's on the downloads page of TA are selected very carefully so as not to upset certain record labels etc.
most that are posted there have the blessing of the producer / label.

we once let ppl post mp3 downloads in this forum but it got to a point where there was so many downloads were posted, that the idea of talking about music was forgotten, plus it attracted leechers in their thousands and also unwanted attention from ppl like the RIAA.

And as there is so many other online sources for MP3 on the web, the fact that some producers were getting pissed off with us and the core idea that this is a forum to discuss music, it was decided that posting mp3 downloads would not go on in this forum.

In the amatuer forums there are MP3's for download made and produced by members of TA, some of which are incredibly good, so go check that forum out.

Sorry, my comments were sarcastic and weren't intended to anger I often check out the Amateur forums and listen to the tracks there as well as plug my own.

You can't. RIAA just shut down every single place for downloading mp3s, so the mp3s are pretty dead now You have to buy CDs and make your own mp3s, but you can't share them with anyone.

If you think at times TA can be busy with the servers being slow, imagine how bad it'd be if it was full of leechers, we don't need that kind of person here who only wants an mp3, that doesn't make a community, and I agree with what Jon's said, I've made friends from Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, America & more from ta, dont need leechers

but this thread survived longer than the original thread, and it didnt get deleted by the mods.

also the music i intended to share isnt even on the TA servers. no need to get upset about it
