How has Guv been lately!??!

I havent been to the Guv since the Deep Dish party in December, and before that it was the Labour of Love party. I was just wondering if theyve been doing a better job controling capacity as of late (on Saturdays). Id really like to have some room to boogie tonight to the dirty danny tunes.

ya same here.. i was at Guv @ Deep Dish the last time.. it's been a while.. too bad I can't make it there tonight

Well from what I hear/from my previous experiences @ GUV. That place ALWAYS draws a decent sized crowd regardless of who is djing that night or if its a special themed party. Add the fact that they have the "Red Light District" theme going on and the fact that Danny Howells will be djing there tonight (who has a pretty big following in Toronto) I think its pretty safe to assume that place is going to be an utter mess tonight which bothers me

BUT

Danny is ONE of if not MY favorite djs. The handful of other times that I have seen him he has blown me away, I love his style of music and would put up with alot of shit to hear one of his sets...

Tonight is going to be INSANE, whether its insanely rammed or not! Only a few more hours to go...!

Yeah, rammed or not rammed, hes one not to miss. I was just wondering if theyd done anything to prevent what happened at Labour of Love ever happening again!! I ALMOST DIED!!!! well not really, but I WAS TOO HOT AND COULDNT DANCE.....well, couldnt dance til about 530 or 6.

I dunno...that would be NICE if they did that...at the same time can u think of yourself waiting outside in *that* cold for god knows how long and then being told you cant get into the club because its capacity?!

I'd fucking TWEAK lol...!

On October 6th for Guv's 6th Year Anniversary, with Dave Seaman (he actually showed up that time!!) and Ferry man, was he boring Corsten, they limited the capacity to 90% so there was much more room to dance

Honestly, i think they should cut the capacity down to 80% and just make cover $20, instead of $10. Id DEFINATELY pay double for ample dancing room!!

C'mon do u really think they imposed that policy?! That party straight up just did not draw as many people as Summers End did.

Anyhow, thats what the skeptic in me says...

Like think about it. System is $20 every night, and they ram the place every night practically (obviously much smaller capacity). I just think the only 2 things the guv has going against them is the space factor, and the sketchy factor. Maybe this idea of cutting down on the capacity and doubling ticket price every saturday would not only create more room to dance, but also scare those sketchy people (who only come to get fried and look at the lasers).

Trust me, all those "sketchy people" as you refer to them would pay $20 to get in and get mashed while enjoying the lasers too... so increasing the entrance cost to $20 and cutting down in capacity would only create greater lineups outside. And I am willing to bet that you'd see lineups of people oustide until 4am for sure...

I dont think big line-ups is a problem, if you dont wanna wait in line just get there early. Plus the main concern is enjoying your time INSIDE the club, and i think my idea would just give the Guvernment a better rep.

But no, everyone had to be in THE MAIN room... every single event they've made when they had something going on in GUV & KH at the same time was like that - GUV was packed to the max & KH had enough dancing space... and then you get people to complain how crowded it was and all that crap, when they didn't even bother checking the KH out... go figure.
