The 3D graphics look good, but ruin the game because
Blizzard was basically forced to place a low unit cap (90 supply I believe vs Starcraft's 200?) on the game to keep the system specs low.

its easy to win in bw, even when you are not good ,just as long as you have a mass horde of units..
in wc3 you can't just mass grunts or something.. its more strategy. more micro/macro

its a game that requires skills
sc/bw doesnt do that to a certain level..

I have a P4 1.8 and a pimpin' video card 512 ram and when it's 4:4 and there's a mass shit load of units on the screen with Blood Lust and spells flying every which way - my computer lags. Most people don't have computers as fast as I do.

War3 is a kiddy game.

Did you ever play either game at a top level?

I'm almost certain you never have based on your comments.

i played it at a top level for almost 3 years with ppl like slayer,skevihue/sven,mike,1st~tsunami,vanquor,rivan,tillerman (when he played it),ntt,etc++++++++++

so dont come here thinking you know too much. you prolly hadnt heard about the game when i played it
ive played a thousand times with 200/200 withtout lagging
i played the game when there wasnt a faster cpu than 600mhz, so dont come here talking about your p4 1.8ghz

and again, stop "bullshitting" about none undefeated players in wc3.. ofcourse there aint noeone who never have lost a game

if you do, i gotta say that you got NO CLUE WHATSOEVER about bw

SlayersBoxer is a prime example of a player that can win the majority of his games. He can win consistently. Is there a player like that in Warcraft 3? That can win again and again? No. Not even close.

Yeah, there is a clear reason, and that's because they're bored of Brood War, and they cannot make $ playing it in North America as it's somewhat dead! War3 is fresh and new - which is why they're all playing it. Not for the reasons you think they're playing it.

Dude if you ask Sven/NTT or any other top BW player that's playing
War3 now they'll tell you that Brood War required a hell of a lot more skill.... NTT isn't even playing right now I don't think.
He said he hates the game 'cause it's a 'kiddy game' 'requires no skill' etc.
It requires virtually no resource management and 90 supply?
Hardly any units to control either.
There's micro, and that's about it!
It's very clear to see this whether you're a top player or not.

I have the beta, and I play it when I have the time, but as it stands right now, it's a bit more difficult for me to find the time to game it up these days. I moved out of my parents house, and I work over 40 hours a week.

By the way do you want to tell this guy that he's a moron, 'cause he's way off in what he's saying. Must I go to the beta forum and copy/paste all of what the top players are saying?

I think he meant 200/200 units in Warcraft 3 which would not be possible with the low end computer systems some people have, which made the game be more geared towards newbs in the RTS genre since players did not have to focus on taking care of 100 units where as in War3 u only took care of 10-20 units.

The game lacks any depth or fun and gets really repetitive because every player goes for the same combination of units in Classic War3 and in the Frozen Throne. Where as in SC a player had MANY options and what to build and it was all viable strats. War3 has limited options because half the units in the game are pointless and does not lead to wins e.g. (Gyrocopters, Raiders, HeadHunters, Grunts, ETC)
