Gatecrasher is one of the clubs my company has computer systems in and we give them tech support
hence many a free night at crasher for me

so i will check and see whats happening with Crasher

it woz on the local news and i'm afraid its not a rumour...a coupla my mates were there and told me last night..afta i posted this thread!

100 police officers raided the republic just before 12am when dave seaman woz playin,they played about with the decks, asked loads of questions and then ordered everybody out...crasher for now is shut...don't know this means for next weekend.probably a much stricter door policy!to be honest it woz only a matter of time before this would happen caus i've never been searched..whereas at cream (which has also been raided) now even gropes my bollox!!

if you go on gurn.net theres even rumours that inz woz gonna get raided also...and even more distressin...SOMEBODY DIED THAT NIGHT!

don't kknow the extent of these facts but crashers definatly gonna change!!

they did get raided but wont say what the outcome of that raid is
they do not know yet if they have to close down
The Police need to make a case for them to be closed down
and that will be known wether they are going to press for that after the results of the raid are known.

The press will most porb jump onto this one as they love it when a club gets into any sort of trouble
Youth of today drugs hypnotic music etc blah blah blah
All we are doing is what they was doing in the 60's LOL

the worst think is is that once all the clubers realised that crasher woz bein raided...2000 or so peepz dropped theyre pills on the floor..therefore showin the extent of the drug activity in the club itself!the police mustav had a field day collectin bag afta bag of pils....as evidence!!

don't think sss will be affected as such (IT BETTA NOT!!)but were a far cry from the illegal rave days of the early nineties. over a million pils are consumed in the u.k every week!!how r they gonna deal with that???

at this stage we just don't know but i'm fuckin worried!!

they re-opened crasha cuz they found nothing wrong with the way was being run (which is a fuckin mricle coz they are all a bit shifty, but all do the shifty things for the good of the club and its regulars ) whereas with Home i heard they found loads of pillz and shit up in the offices and stuff... i dunno..

+ the police cant moan at the door procedures @ gatecrasher coz as u prolly read, they far exceed the regulations set out by the government... still peice of piss to get shit in though lol

on another note..
home woz shut down for a number of reasons..
1)it woz shite!
2)westminster council were against the club from the start
3)there were too many wankers that went there i.e peeps wearin suits!!(i know i went there!)
4)the apmoshere wasn't anywhere like what it is in crasher,passion,gk,cream etc!!
5)too many tourists!
6)the big named dj's pulled out ie paul oakenfold,steve lawler etc and it ended up very average!

Real glad the raided saga is ova for now...

ummmm not to frighten ya (again) but crasher still has not been reopened yet!!um thats the third weekend in a row now where its been shut!although the statement on the gc message board crasher says things are back to normal...this just clearly does not seem the case!..obviously sss is still functionin normaly..as it has a different licence.(for a start!)
