That's the face of a bully??? What do you get scared of daffodils when you walk through the park? If anything he just looks like a monkey:

Damn, looks like he's trying to eat his lower lip.

But seriously I hope that no one who participated in the protests believes that what they did would change U.S foreign policy. His whole family could've been out there and he'd remain 'undeterred'

Wether or not that's the right thing to do, only history can show.

History shows that War has only created a greater division between East and West, and with terrorism being the flavour of the month, war with Iraq will only add fuel to an already out of control fire !

Its a true one, now we are seen more anger and discontent, as well as less agreenments, but now, its divided and different opinions.

History of the entire world, mate. Did the Crusades solve anything? Did WWI, the "war to end all wars," end any wars? WWII? Korea? Vietnam? Gulf War episode I? Israel-Palestine? We just came out of the bloodiest century in the history of the world, lucky as it is, and it seems like we've learned nothing.

Now let's look at one instance where an explosive situation, MUCH MUCH CLOSER to home, also involving WMD and "arch-nemeses," came to a peaceful anti-climax: The Cuban Missile-Crisis in 1961.

There will always be causes for conflict in this world. Let's not continually add our fuel to their fire. Peace and diplomacy work. Wars don't.

What about the expansion of the Greek and Roman empires? The Egyptian empire? Charlemagne's campaigns? European colonialism? The growth and expansionism of each of these empires has resulted in historical impacts on technology, culture, and growth. Yes there were negative aspects but you can't simply say a broad encompassing statement like "history" shows that all war accomplishes nothing and is bad. I'm not referencing Iraq in any way I'm just speaking on broad terms.

ill have to agree with this. Sadly because without conflict...there is no change. Policies would be never updated...and most technology spurts come from the military anyways(eg. the internet). As far as bloodshed, this century is no where close to being the bloodiest. You should read about the dark era in the early AD...where like a couple centuries were war after war after war. As humans, I think we have been more civilized than any of our ancestors.

Yeah, how true that is, the Canadians spend their taxes on the poor.

America, you pay your taxes to lazy corporations who live of your hard earned money.

Raytheon
General Electric
Lockhead Martin

to name but a few. How many untold billions goes direct from the taxpayer straight to the above mentioned corporations, all the while america doesnt have universal healthcare. You can always buy more Stealth Bombers but theres no money to pay for more hospitals.

It amazes me how naieve americans are, not the African americans mind you, most black folks I have listened to or read, know exactly who the politicans on Capitol Hill and the White House are working for.

Well over a million people in Jail, for the most part for being poor and America is the land of the free. Whoever said america is the land of the free, they had a ironic sense of humour.

Why is it that Bush never has a straight face in ANY of his pictures. When this is all over, he will be the most historically ridiculed president of all time, and all the history books will have that picture (or one like it) to show for this man.

There is a universal truth about large countries and economics:

"Right before economic collapse, the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer."

Since Bush has cut funding to the poor and to education programs, our economy has gotten much worse. You would never give your hard earned money to the poor, is that right? Well instead it's going to a bunch of rich people, all making over 200k a year. They don't even need your money, but they're getting it. They then take your money and spend it, giving it back to the poor. Sure that sounds all well and good, until next tax season comes around the poor people get even more money taken away from them due to an even bigger tax brake given to the upper class. This kind of thinking when it comes to economics drove our country into debt in the 1980's, and now that we've slipped back to our old economic habits with George W. in office, we're going down yet again.
