Fingers Burnt... need some info on these ppl

There isn't much information about these guys other than I know they are the masters of bootlegging. From For a Devil, to Lego Land (samples Punk) to my current fav Squat Thrust (samples BT, Narcotic Thrust, Nebuchan) and the new Frozen February (take of Flaming June), these guys are making wikkid remakes and bootlegs of classic tunes. Any idea who these guys are and when and if these songs will be properly released? I know For a Devil and Lego Land are out there already, but what about the other ones? Cheers!

Terry

All the tracks you mentioned are currently available (and legoland dun sample punk, it smaples some old choon, mysteryland I think)

Posted by Thierry on Feb-19-2003 16:57:

At one point near the breakdown, they use Ferry Corsten - Punk for about 10 seconds. But thanks for the info. You know where I can grab these songs from??

Yeah Legoland samples Y-Traxx - Mysteryland - FFrr 1997/1998.

I'm not a huge fan of Fingers burnt either. They should write their own choons like the rest of us.

there is some bitterness already becoming apparent with Fingers. personally ive only heard For a Devil, and while its not full original it is an interesting play on the old, i repeat, old and very popular classic. i see them less as ripping off, and more as adjusting styles, at least in Devils case. maybe im wrong - whatever.

i thot i heard they were yet another group of PvDs Vandit bitches(read:NuNrg) true?

thats not nec a bad thing....

I don't really care for their other productions but them raping Flaming June like that is not acceptable at all!

Posted by kr00t0n on Feb-19-2003 18:11:

Hated what they did to Flaming June as well, but I am quite partial to Legoland (not the vocal tho, which suck major arse!)

Love them. Buying all their releases! Don't forget thier
Stomach Bug's alias which remixed 'Nightmare'. Briallint works!

Dancing Dude

i love these bootlegs, they are fucking quality!!!

and 'for a devil' puts bout 10x and much energy into 'for an angel' as any other mix ever had!!!!

good stuff i wana heard more!!

whoever made these records needs to be abused

Posted by Thierry on Feb-20-2003 00:38:

Actually, I'm not a huge fan of For A Devil or Lego Land... they got me dancing, but nothing more special than the originals. What I really love is Squat Thrust! EPIC!

someone rip nightmare! i just heard the sample @ chemical and its rally good

Posted by Luke Terry on Jun-27-2003 15:30:

Cool

if you do genuinely like these you might aswell delete your winamp playlist and fill it up with dj sammy and flip & fill as they are no less cheesy

Posted by kr00t0n on Jun-27-2003 16:05:

FFS, they are in no way comparable to the likes of Sammy and Co.
I only like Legoland and Onshore myself, but hell, I'd personally rather listen to those 2 than any Push track, coz Push aint to my liking.

ppl have diff tastes, but that doesnt put everything you DONT like into the same category

Posted by Thierry on Jun-27-2003 16:24:

I am in love with Squat Thrust and it's nowhere near DJ Sammy style. It's an epic trancer, plain and simple. NOT DJ SAMMY :P

Posted by George Kendall on Jun-27-2003 16:51:

They are all fucking shit

they crucified good shot, mysteryland & for an angel!!

they should be shot for making money stealing & reworking other peoples tracks for cash!

Posted by joeh on Jun-27-2003 18:01:

What is think is great is that loads of people say they hate these bootlegs just because they think that they are ripping off the original artists and not playing royalties - but most of the people who think that probably never buy any cds/vinyls - and are just some 'super 1337' mp3 kiddie (Az/Luke/George excluded cause i know they buy vinyls)

finger burnt are 2 well knowen uk producers who also go under the alias hi gate aka judge jules and paul masterson

Posted by goose_wh on Jun-27-2003 20:58:

I like fingers burnt even if they are rip offs, they add bags of energy to the classics.
