British anti-war rallies.
Somebody pointed out the fact that the majority of people at these marches are around 18-35, 80% or something, and the everybody knows that here in britain the majority of 18-35 year olds don't vote, so until these people start doing something worthwhile, i.e. vote, there absolutely no point in marching because the government is going to do what it want if it has the majority of the voters, i.e.35-75 year olds.
Is this true for any other country?
^^
I heard like a million brits protested in some way, is that true?
In Canada..it's a general consensus that the war is a bad thing..for any age group. Specifically for your voting question, I feel that politicians in canada target the younger group...18 year olds up to mid 20s. I also feel that the younger generation are much more informed about politics than their older generation parents. That tells politicians that the youth will be more "aware" when it comes to voting. On top of that...they may convince their parents to join suit with them. When I was in high school, we had regional politicians come in for debates and they would canvass their material during that day also...because they realize the importance young voters.

It's like they say, if you're too lazy to go out and vote, you get the wrong president....
