not true

Posted by Muff2K on Feb-22-2003 07:06:

Let me correct myself here. I'm not out to diss armin, i don't hate the guy. he is my favorite DJ.
But his recent productions

Yet Another Disappointment
Assburn

have not been up to the level he set for himself before

Sound of Goodbye
Dust.wav

just for a small example. His mixing skliis are amazing, he's one of the only guys who can pull off trance to rog to trance to techno and finish with tech-trance.

(Sure Tiesto does it too but he's still playing the same records as last year so he's had time to practice)

all i meant by my comment is that Armin's recent tracks have left his fans feeling unfulfilled

maybe we should start a poll askin TA's if they liked older Armin stuff better than Recent Armin

this made me laugh.

sunburn is mindblowing. yet another day (armin van buuren dub) is also a very nice banging track if you ask me.

I still maintain my opinion that Armin is usually always consistent in the quality of his productions and remixes. Yet Another Day does not obviously appeal to everyone (I personally love it, at least the Riva Remix) but surely he should be respected for trying something a bit different?

Armin a disappointment???

What are u thinking, he is the best trance DJ there is bar none.

Every time I have seen him or heard him he has been simply outstanding

never said he was slipping as a DJ

Armin Van Buuren feat Ray Wilson - Yet Another Day

is an amazing track I think. One of the best Trance tracks that use Male vocals behind BT - Firewater

As yet the Original Mix is still my favourite but I havent heard all the remixes yet.

don't know what you're saying but Yet Another day is a fine song in my opinion - much better than many others that came out lately.

I can`t mention during which gig, but I know he has played
Umek-Gatex a couple of times.

can't wait

Posted by Sid on Feb-23-2003 13:31:

His producing to date hasn't been that top notch lately but djing is second to none ! track selection and mixing is head and heels above the rest

Posted by [DJK] on Feb-24-2003 02:27:

Just to express my opnion. I think Yet Another Day is very good track and aren't we forgeting something here?

*cough* sunspot *cough*

Posted by dartrance on Feb-24-2003 02:44:

Sorry but i completely disagree with you and as you can already tell a lot of people dont agree with you either on Yet another day

I think its such a huge powerful tune.. One where the vocals actually fit really well with the song

Sunburn on the other hand was a huge disappointment

Posted by christofa on Feb-24-2003 07:26:

they lyrics sound a little like 'ordinary world'. just a thought...

now Assburn is funny but i still think they are great productions, I also agree with you 100% that his older stuff were amazing, Sound of Goodbye was Amazing.

He has been concentrating on his DJing skills so you never know, maybe he'll spend a lot of time in the studio for this album.
