JamX & DeLeon - Mind Made Up? I know that was played, but I'm a little hazy on everything else. Oh yeah, and I usually hate Jurgen Vries - The Theme with a passion, but last night I couldn't get enough of it. It was a STUNNING track to finish with.

Cheers to InSoMnIa^ and others that I saw at Pharmacy. Any other TAs that I missed, I have closely shaved dark hair, and was wearing glasses and a bright yellow t-shirt. Hope you all had as much fun as I did!

Big thumbs up too for the MILF hunter who accompanied me through Steve's set at Activate. Another ripper -- honestly one of the best I've heard.

Time for bed now. Nite all!

Rank 1 - Airwave (Some Hard mix, maybe dumonde, not sure)
i think it was cosmic gate remix

Posted by webmeister on Feb-23-2003 04:59:

Most probably the track was:
Rank 1 - Breathing

It's the 2003 remix of Airwave

Posted by Romp on Feb-23-2003 05:05:

omg that sounds even better than the set they played in Sydney

Posted by Rememberence_ on Feb-23-2003 06:42:

if it had vocals it was
Rank 1 - Airwave 2003 (Breathing) (Vocal Mix)

wish I coulda been there, anyone got pics?

Rem I think Insomnia, or your mate (not a ta) can't remember his name have some digital camera pics of dumonde and the event.

Probably cosmic gate mix, no vocals.

Btw, ale01 (euphorica) paul, did you make it in the end? I tried giving you a ring...

Posted by Hybrid Junkie on Feb-23-2003 07:23:

I think mind made up was played sometime after "can u dig it".

Ah well, either was cool, did you see the chick with the white top saying "can u dig it" hehehe she was hot!

hey we don't take kindly to strangers around here...

hehe nice to see you finally show your ugly mug 'round here Rem.

as for Dumonde, what can i say that hasn't already been said. Truly a memorable performance.

oarsome tunes complemented by an oarsome venue, an oarsome sized crowd, and an oarsome vibe. a shame didn't get to meet any of the melb ta's that were there though... or maybe i did, me no remember.

i had been so looking forward to seeing dumonde but found them quite disappointing, more so than when shokk was here

thankfully the pure evil that is hellraiser showed them how's it done although with less people on the dance floor.

edit: thats a pretty fine effort with the tracklist no idea how you can remember that
you forgot to add the typical dumonde intro at the start.

Posted by jizza on Feb-24-2003 00:21:

just a side note, did anyone else know that in the other room rounda bout 1-3am, a little known dj was playing to an audience of 3 people.

his name? none other then Mr. Josh Abrahams himself (you know - Addicted to Bass fame, Gerling - Enter Space Capsule remix).

i spoke to him for a bit and what i loved about him was that he was still happy to just play, didn't matter how big the audience, he just loved playing.

You'd probably be forgiven in sarcasticly thinking "Geez, hasn't his career flourished", but i honestly believe in Josh's mind, he is still getting a lot from the scene.

sorry for the hijack, but i thought an honourable mention was deserved for this particular person.

howdy HJ, & jizza

yer bout time I showed up in here eh? A friend of mine took photos of the night, here is her webpage.

Didn't mean to resurrect this necessarily but just clarifying that they definately played mind made up (original not rank1 mix)

and also dumonde vs lange - memory (original mix)
rank 1 - symsonic (dj jamx & de leon's dumonde remix)

*sniff* come on TT, I need to go out hard again :P

Posted by julianreynolds on Mar-03-2003 22:59:

I think they also played........

Queen vs. Vanguard - Flash (Tomcraft mix)

they definitely played this one after Loneliness. Although as its been a couple of weeks I cant remember the other ones that werent id.

Myself and Reemo were there and as much as I love Dumonde, I found that they couldnt really getting it cooking, which was unfortunate to see cos I thought that they would kill it, it was a big contrast to when Cosmic gate played in Melbourne.

Posted by Hybrid Junkie on Mar-04-2003 00:54:

Are you sure, it's a pretty recognizable track and I don't remember hearing it at all..........I could be wrong, it's been awhile....but still..

Posted by julianreynolds on Mar-04-2003 01:08:

positive they played it. Cos I remember a dude with long black hair (looked hell dodgy) dancing on the stage near the decks asking what it was. And Dumonde showed him the yellow cover. I think it only came out recently though. Not sure if I'm a big fan?????

Posted by Hybrid Junkie on Mar-04-2003 01:19:

kinda funky....kinda..fuckin whack

still.. it's grooveable....

Posted by julianreynolds on Mar-04-2003 02:05:

grooveable but very wack!!!! was it just me or was the crowd just not up for it??? it seemed lame for dj's of such high calibre.

Posted by reemo on Mar-04-2003 02:30:

When i first heard flash all i could think was I bet i'll hear it at pharmacy!
