THE GIFT OF TRANQUILITY
Question: Where do you spend most of your time?
Answer: In Your Mind.
OK, so it was a trick question. But it does make an important point.
How we feel and what we think create the size, look and feel of our lives. Standard injunctions such as 'life is what you make it,' 'happiness is a state of mind,' and look on the bright side,' attest to the importance of our state of mind.
Still, most of us spend a lot more effort and money on our outside appearance than on our inner hygiene. It's often the case that even when we are ready to attend to our mental state, we simply can't gather both time and energy at the same moment.
People come to me for various reasons. To stop smoking, pain relief, anxiety, past life exploration, personal transformation, weight control etc. Whether the client is initially aware of it or not, in every instance there is a hidden benefit!
Tranquility: The Hidden Benefit of Trance << HERE RzR
There's nothing mystical or magical about trance. It's a natural state of mind.
Each of us goes in and out of it daily; most of us just don't know it. And few of us realize how beneficial trance is to our health. It is a doorway to physical and mental tranquility and a marvelous way to recharge our batteries in a demanding world.
Learn to Recognize Trance: Your body will love you for it!
The time we can most easily recognize trance is either just before sleep at night or as we wake up naturally in the morning. At those times we gradually shift between "Beta" brain waves, what we would consider our 'normal' state of mind, and the 'Alpha' state.
What's Alpha Got To Do With It?
Slower, deeper breathing; physical relaxation; internal focus; and receptivity to suggestion indicate the Alpha brain wave state. Outside sounds, such as a barking dog may seem far away and are not likely to disturb. Similarly, time itself is something we may be only vaguely aware of. Ever wake up slowly, look at your clock and think it was telling you the wrong time? Guess where you've been
There's an almost Zen-like tranquility in Alpha, unlike the busy mental chatter we experience in our normal Beta state. At night we may drift off to sleep before we even recognize how calm and relaxed we were. In the morning we may jump into Beta awareness by realizing we need to get our day started, and again barely notice we were in a calm, harmonious and pleasant state.
The Good News: We Can Create Trance When We Choose
Once we recognize it, it's easy to recreate. The mind and body know it's good for us and easily remember how to gently move us into trance.
We can familiarize ourselves with trance simply by extending the time before we sleep or before we get up. Or set aside a few moments during the day to tell our body and mind to relax and enjoy the trance state.
Self-hypnosis is easily learned and expands the benefits of trance. It's an easy method for instant mind-body relaxation. I have had many people tell me they had never taken the time to relax so deeply before -- and it made wonderful changes in their lives!
During these often hectic times, we at the Creative Hypnotherapy Institute wish you and your clients tranquility, harmony, and vibrant health.
Ahhhhhhhh. Thats Better
you're not a furry little creature anymore.
It's just music
It's funny how many people think the "euphoria" they get listening to trance is unique to this genre.
yeah.. the genre is entitled almost misleadingly.. most music can put you in that 'spacey' state of mind...
im sure the original writer was speaking of trance as a state of mind, not as a type of music

but i do remember reading an article in the newspaper here a couple years ago, which specifically addressed the question of why ppl. who go to raves and listen to trance, like to do so...
basically, they found that the BPM that many trance songs have (around 120-140), is in the same range as that heard/felt by babies when they are in the mother's womb! amazing, huh? and im not even making this up!
Hmmmm...that's interesting. It's true tho, 7/8 of people just get euphoric listening to trance.
Yes, i would believe that. I have looked into it myself. there are also certain frequencies that can make you feel different states of mind. Melodies in certain keys evoke feelings of saddness, optimism, euphoria etc. Also, the human mind searches for and recognizes patterns, this is why all music, and electronic music in particular is repetetive.
as far as "trance" music, it really does put me in a trance. I am a lover of all types of music, but trance the most. sometimes, on certain songs, i actually achieive a sort of hypnosis, and lose awareness off my surroundings. Usually when, the bass falls away of a song, and only the beautiful melody is left hanging in the air.
A good song to illusrate this effect is:
Atrium - Golden(Jubio Remix)Download (right click, save as)
at about 4 minutes into this song, the melody just takes me away. good headphones and a good winamp plugin will make the effect complete, try it yourself.
this is why i love this music, it has brought new peace to my life. And i strive to bring this to others through my DJing.
