Ricky, your mixes are mint, from what I have heard on basicbeats. As soon as you get the link to work, I'll download. Can't wait. Check out my mix I put out in this forum. My Mix I envy you on the amateur scene, but listening to your mixes I really don't think you should be classified as amateur. Do you spin locally at any clubs in Florida. Lucky you for you, you are in wonderful city to DJ. Take care and keep up your solid sets.

peace,

Steve

okay, link fixed...

-<:VenMys:>-, thanks for comments, i will check out your mix.
Currently, i dont have a residency at a club, for right now. Its not as easy as it seems. Many people think "your in a big city, easy to get gigs"... not really. Trance in South Florida is not underground, but commercial. Commercial to where only bigger clubs will have trance nights (however, house still dominates commercially), but those same big clubs like to have djs that will bring in people (money). THe underground venues revolve around techno, d&b, breaks, but not really trance. And the subject again comes up about knowing the right people, having connections, etc. Im starting to work on promoting again, that is why i got the website launched, I will try to promote a bit more agressively locally.

Anyhow, again thanks for comments and i will check out your mix.

Peace,
Ricky

Ricky,

I just listened to your mix, and let me say that was absolutely amazing! Your beatmatching is very professional, very smooth, and really well thought out. The mix as a whole is very well sequenced and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. You've definately got the technical side of DJing down, it's now just a matter of getting your sound out there, promoting yourself, and being truly dedicated. Good luck!
