Second UN resolution tabled...........
The second UN resolution has been tabled, it basically states that Saddam is in breach of resolution 1441 (the 1st one). UK and the USA tabled the resolution. It is not expected to be voted on until Han Blix presents his next report on friday 28th feb.
Then Saddam openly defied the UN by refusing to destroy his Al samoud 2 STS missiles that were in breach of the maximum range set by the UN.
Even though France, with the backing of China has placed its own resolution detailing more weapons inspections and more time for Saddam to disarm I think war is now inevitable.
What do you think???
if I had a dime for every time George Bush acted like a dumb fuck.... I could buy him another ranch.

It was inevitable from day one... It was always just the question of time :P
I think that France has their collective head up their collective ass. The french guy (dont know dont care) gave some long ass speech about how young America is and how it doesnt know war like all the other countries of the world. Colin Powell (brilliant response) said something to the effect of, "Correct me if I am wrong, but we are the oldest democracy". Im just sick of all the bullshit, there is enough on everyones plate to satiate them for decades and they keep piling it on. the reason i bring up france is because they are completely against a second resolution, because it has become not so much as an anti-saddam thing as an anti-american thing. The UN is a great cover for kicking eachother in the nuts under the table. US isnt pristine either, we have effectively withdrawn from the UN, and are using it to give the kids a pupper show while we kick the shit out of someone under the curtain... ah well. Such is life

Ya the UN is just a debating society. They never manage to make any real impact on the world because they never follow through. If the UN wanted to be taken seriously, after Iraq violated 1441 they would have followed through with the consequences instead of drafting up some other stupid resolution. It just like someone telling you if you do something again that there will be serious consequences, but when you do it again nothing happens. So pretty much the UN is making itself irrelevent like Bush was quoted on previously.
