Sasha vs. Mike Koglin - The Silence/Wavy Gravy AKA Enjoy The Gravy [3 Deck Mix]

wow...heard this on zabiela's mix on protonradio.com anyone know anything about this? i was wondering where i can get my hands on it at

Posted by Subey on Feb-08-2004 16:41:

WOW

Just heard this thing, and it is so hypnotic I can barely believe it, one of those amazing tracks that even as you listen to it all you can think about is hitting the repeat again immediately. Just a killer track

It's on Zabiela's album entitled 4.
(I think; it doesn't seem to have a discogs entry)

there was something about it being made for a circle of friends or something along those lines

Heard Ashley Casselle drop it when I went to see PvD @ GC in September. Went proper mental!!!

Posted by Astronaut on Feb-08-2004 20:44:

I have the full rip.

Posted by Raptor on Feb-08-2004 20:52:

are you talking about the mix or the song? the only person i heard spun this track with one vinyl would be SASHA. the mix was made live on a cdj and 2 turntables.

Posted by montie on Feb-08-2004 21:45:

as to my knowledge
the 4 mix was made for friends.
wasn't an official release or anything.
didn't know the silence and wavy gravy mashup was done on 2 TT's and a CDJ
now that i listen to it i can tell though
fucking great job. james z is the man

I was there! He finished with it, and it was completely amazing. Plus PvD had just turned up as he dropped it so the atmosphere was just immense. Quality tune.

didn't solar stone drop it at gatecrasher too? (over the summer)

Posted by Dmatrox on Feb-09-2004 03:17:

its alright. It sounds good together. The beginning part sounds like it was done in the cdj with a part of wavy gravy looping and during the song, wavy gravy lightly over the top of enjoy the silence.

I love how one the 'four mix' cds ends with this mix and then the outro to the cd is 'wavy gravey' spun backwards...Zabiela is the man.

the mash up is very easy. its just a 4 bar loop of wavy gravy for the intro. then on the break down you throw in wavy gravy. i've done the mashup before. the only mashup you can't do is stage one vs. running down the way up. its a edit of running down the way up hybrid did to mash up perfectly.

I believe it was Zabiela who made the mix, so I'm sure he has it as well.

Yea Zabiela did the mashup live, then was asked by Sasha to do it again in the studio for him to record.
