how much do big name dj's earn?

how much does a big name dj earn for a 2 hour set?

how does it compare to psychedelic/goa producers who play their own music live (astral projection, infected mushroom etc)

there is a lot that depends on it.. day of week, size of club, etc..

like it is a lot cheaper to bring in say PvD on a weekday than on a Weekend.

but if you are looking for a #.. i would have to say about a Buttload (give or take a couple hundo)

Of course, it depends on the event/venue, but I think the big names get more than that.

When Tiesto played Exit in NYC in Dec. 2001 he got 55k -- who knows how much he's getting now??

i heard that tiesto gets around 75k, give or take depending on the event. you got to put in account how many people go to the events and how much the tickets cost, and how much freaking water costs and how much people spend to quench their thirst. its unbelievable. also, for those who think its crazy, put yourself in their shoes. i bet they are loving it, i would too.

yeh that is a special night, big money, like pvd millenium at midnight he got paid 100k

an average those djs get what i said, if tiesto got 50k for a normal set at say crasher, alll of the ticket money would go to him if the club was at full capacity, which is impossible

It may be a one off but carl cox got over 100,000 for his gig in australia when the millenium came about.

Other than that about 1000 to 30000 a nite i would imagine................................

And by the way picotto is a really nice guy
