just woundering weather youd consider these doods trance or do they go into other catagorys
crystal method
fat boy slim
chemical brothers
underworld
stuff like this can you give what type of music it is

No these guys are not trance at all imo, i think they should be consider electronica because these artists have a wide variety of styles. But who am I to label these great artist!!!

fatboy and chemical brothers produce a variety of stuff, from breaks to house. honestly, they really have their own style.

all of the above are commercial, ie "rock-n-roll" type hooks, etc.

I'd say they all fit into the Big Beat genre.
It's supposed to be a subgenre of breakbeat but the genre is pretty "loose" as it blends almost anything (breaks, house, rock, techno, d'n'b) into one another.
Fatboy & Chemicals are the ones who basically created the whole genre.

they used to fit into the big beat genre until they moved away from it. Crystal Method has always has the tag "The American Chemical Brothers". Fatboyslim plays some breakbeat, crystal method is breakbeat and so is Chemical Brothers (sometimes)

Most (not all) of Crystal Method, Fat Boy Slim and Chemical Brothers tracks are Breakbeats (aka Breaks). Many Chem Bros tracks are considered Big Beat (which is a sub-genre of Breaks).

Altho, as uberdude mentioned, Fat Boy Slim and Chem Bros have produced some Housey tracks. Like one of Chem Bros most recent tracks Africa (or whatever it's exact name is) is Tribal House.
