very chill...i loved it...the pianos in it are great...i loved the way that u used the pianos and those nice vocals...i'd offer a rmx to it, but i dont think it would suit your original...

btw...is there anywhere else i could dl your rmxes?...very interested after this song...

Thanks for your comment.....
Since I only have 20 mb webspace at tripod it's difficult for me to get the remixes up somewhere.........if u have one remix that you really want to hear i'll upload it.....see my discography in the sticky thread

BTW: It doesn't matter if your remix will suite........i'm open-minded.....but it has to have a little bit of orginality in it....no copy of what we already knew like many other tracks today

more comments?

I'm sorry man, but I really find this track to be pretty horrendous...I suggest you take some music theory if you haven't already...but...I'm sorry. The sounds are shallow, melody bad, percussion bad, progression bad. It's just overall not a very good track.
I'm _positive_ some of the harmonies in it clash, as well.

Your opinion...not my.
If it is a question of your style, then I think you should be a little more open-minded. In my opinion it's a good production and you won't make me change it.....

it sounds TOO simple 4 me, like a fruityloops track, the melody is sucky also btw.

Sorry cant help it, just dont like this track.

I use fruityloops mostly, however i am learning logic - cubase and others right now

but i get a very professional non-simple sound out of it.

Fruity is as good as the user.

Oh yeah the track is good, but could be made better one of the remixes will probably make it real trancy more energy.. but for this style kinda melodic progressive, its good.

It's not a question of style here...I'll listen to most every genre, and also play progessive myself. The problem with this track, from my viewpoints, are:

The drum kits sound very standard (Avoid using the clap -- it's outdated and really only sounds good in funky songs)

Melody is chromatic, in a bad, unharmonic way (learn more about music theory...they'll teach you how to more easily create nicer melodies based on scales, but of course, there's no reason to adhere to only that...but it certainly helps in producing and will at the very least teach you something.)

Rhythm is very standard.

The synthesizers are very simple, nothing special about them, and it sounds like the one has too much reverb on it...filter it with effects and you won't get that too wide sound. Sometimes this can sound nice, but if it's something like a pad outright, it really doesn't). The grand piano sounds sampled and cheesy. It's hard to use outright pianos any longer without them sounding too cheesy, anyway...they're mostly used to support melodies anymore. (Ala, Mushroom therapy (lightscape remix)...the samples are also _much_ higher quality in this song). Sampled instruments are really only useful if looped, and the sampled stuff in fruity loops is pretty crap.

The bassline and kick are too weak (You can make them "fuller" by using the fruity parametric EQ in the effects)

To get a really even, well mastered track, you need to play with a seperate equalizer for each instrument. It's important to have it sound mostly even, with emphasis where you want it (remember with prog, the bass is usually a little heavier than other genres)

I'm not trying to discourage you. I just too have been pretty horribly shot down by professional DJ's in my area. The thing is, if you really wanna put out tracks that pro DJ's will play, they need to be damn near perfect.

The important thing here is to not quit. Keep trying, go by what sounds right, and try to make your sounds like those you hear on pro songs.

Also, avoid using any of the fruity synths, they are bad (the three oscillator is okay...), but in general they sound like crap, and the 404 works kinda weirdly and the samples sound like crap when they're really low (basslines) because they use sampled wave shapes instead of generating their own. Use either buzzmachines or VST synths, you can make most of the same noises the pro's use and plus it's mostly free. All it takes is a ton of time and patience to learn them. Go to www.buzzmachines.com or http://www.espace-cubase.org/anglais/freevsti.php

Good Luck!
