Ok, that's 20 stages/tents/arenas.. The lineup is IN-F***IN-SANE, but how the hell are we supposed to choose??? Everyone I love is at that event I swear

Posted by butterfly on Mar-01-2003 23:07:

i hope the post a schedule cause i don't know how i am going ot handle this one.

Posted by Mysteriousss on Mar-01-2003 23:43:

I don't think they announce the schedule (the actual time slots for each DJ).. The first time I saw those the last 2 years was at the entrance where they give you a flyer with all the lineups and schedules.. I could be wrong though, and definitely would like to see the schedule in advance..

I read on the newest flyer that time slots and map will be given on the information booth in the festival.

to everyone that hasn't been to ultra before:
i don't know if you realize this or not (i didn't last year), you can't see EVERYONE you want to see at ultra. you kinda have to pick who you want to see and when. i don't recommend running around the park the entire time. its too crazy with 40,000 other people. i'm gonna pick who i want to see and make sure i see them. just a short "MUST" list. then the rest i can decide later.

i did the whole running around thing last year, 20 mins of a set here, 20 mins of a set there. its just not worth it. stay for the entire hour set. unless it sucks of course.

omfg. ultra is going to kill me.

I think that in means of deciding this year will be even harder. This year there's 2 main stages where the hedlining acts will be divided. ( Underworld, Hybrid, Tiesto, PvD, Picotto, Rabbit in the Moon, Sasha and Digweed and so on ) .. Im kinda scared with this, cause imagine this acts acting at the same time on both main stages.. for example, Paul van Dyk in one and Tiesto in the other.. or Underworld un one and Hybrid on the other.. or whichever order .. aahhh that scares the heck out of me. Even harder to decide.

You'll have a blast man ! ! ! !

Posted by Vinylgroovah on Mar-04-2003 01:56:

Im Praying dat PVD and underworld are on the same stage, which i think they will... I have this feeling Underworld/PVD/tiesto or picotto will be together, and rabbit in the moon/S&D/tiesto or picotto will be together... or maybe even underworld/pvd/tiesto/picotto will be together since S&D are doing an extended 3 hr set? Who knows... Just more drama and hype!!!

hmmm. i think the 3 hour sasha and digweed set will give me some time to run around. i really don't think i'm gonna spend 3 hours with sasha and digweed. i would love to, but not if it means me missing hybrid or underworld or something. we'll see i guess when we get the time tables. i just really hope it'll be online BEFORE the event.

we'll see...................

They should do two days of Ultra like they do with Coachella! That makes more sense to me than the way they do it now....

Yeah thats what everyone would want, but that also would make it more expensive. You know, heaving to rent BAYFRONT PARK for an extra day is not cheap at all, plus the laws of Miami and so on would make it very hard for promoters and crap.... but Coachella, does it stay like the whole nite to the next day partying or does it finish and then the next day they start again? cause really I heavent seen one electronic dance festival here in the US that has donde that.

Posted by DaveSZ on Mar-04-2003 11:24:

To be honest I really don't know....
Maybe one of the west coast peeps can answer that one.

I'm sure it would be really expensive yeah....ticket prices would at least double....

Posted by EarnYourKeep on Mar-04-2003 13:08:

SoBe Expensive?

ok here's the deal...first off two days wont work cuz miami/sobe is wayy to expensive. local resturantes have to pay the city to put up advertisement of alcohol. for like one sign or banner i believe it cost the resturante about 1G to just put up one sign. And I think its a permit or something that they have to buy PER SIGN. kinda ridiculous huh. so with all the other LARGER cost that ultra has, im sure two days would mean more per ticket...and im not about to pay more for two days...afterall that first 14hours is good enough...
