Cass and Slide - Percetion (Vocal Mix)

This is an oldie but a goodie. My question to all you tranceaddicts out there, "Who is the lady thats sings the vocals?" I can't believe it's been three years and I never asked myself that question before. Any help is greatly appreciated. Lates.

i believe it's

naimee coleman!

someone told me this when i asked about it myself. i'm not sure though!

btw, this is probably the best tune in the world!

Yes, the vocals are by Naimee Coleman, who also sings on Aurora - Ordinary World (a remake of Duran Duran's 80s hit), for example. Perception is one of my big favs too, i luv it!

she also has released:

*Naimee Coleman - Love Song (BiR Mix)

awesome track. very tech house sounding. its a cover of The Cure's Love Song so the lyrics are great as well! i believe i got porky addicted to that one

Anybody who does not fall in love with this track doesn't fully understand trance music.

IMO.

I fully agree. Perception is one of the masterpieces of trance, and the vocals only enhance the experience.

I also love this track only I like the non-vocal version a bit better. Unfortunately, this version seems to be quite rare. The ONLY place I've ever heard it is on Sasha's GU013 - Ibiza. Can anybody shed some light on this for me please?

U mean Original Mix? It's the same length as Vocal Mix (both about 10:39), i have both also on same vinyl. It's not anymore rare as Vocal Mix, ppl just prefer Vocal Mix more than Original Mix.

thanks again Grim

Wow, thanks guys. I knew I could count on all of you. The first time I heard this track was in one of the old ASOT episodes back in 2000. I didn't get into GU until a year later where I eventually found the original mix. Both mixes are great and I can't prefer one or the other cuz it all depends on my type of day. Laters

I'm the same mate.

Without the vocals it sounds a bit gritty, dirty industrial-like.
With the vocals....bliss :d

Love Poundin' Sensation

the vocals don't make this song but they certainly help

I heard that too.

oh man, this is definitely one of my all time favs

Posted by starglider on Mar-05-2003 04:43:

This is my all-time fav. Original mix, please. Vocals are blissful but do dominate the track a bit too much for my liking. Both mixes work though, and work well. Listening to Perception is like a spiritual experience for me.
