Online Headshops in the US closed by DEA

Many of the online headshops (a store that sells pipes, bongs, etc.) based in the US have been closed. Just another example of how annoying the US government can be. I understand weed is illegal but buying a pipe shouldn't be, the pipe itself isn't the drug. What makes me mad is that this won't stop people from smoking weed, it'll only make it a little harder to get pipes (ex. they have to buy from a person who makes them). This really doesn't acomplish anything. I think the DEA has better things to be doing than closing down headshops. The headshops aren't hurting anyone...I know weed can mess up your life if you let it but the DEA closing down headshops will not make sure that doesn't happen.

that is bloody ridiculos, like as tho the sort of people who go online to buy a pipe to smoke their weed are gun totting drug dealers out beating up grannies and stuff..

old news, this happened over a week ago. I got a bong online prolly about 2.5 weeks ago, good thing i ordered it then when I did and didn't wait untill after spring break (which I originally was going to do)

what the fuck is the point of buying a pipe if ur not gonna smoke reefer? would there be a reason to buy a bong or a pipe other than to smoke shit with it? the DEA obviously is trying to discourage the use of weed by closing down the headshots which sell the stuff needed to smoke it...instead of discouraging drug use what should thet DEA be doing instead?

Actually, the U.S does technically have the right to close the place, and bongs can be considered illegal, because in the U.S drug paraphinelia(sp?) is almost as bad as actually having the drug, its a misdemeanor i think.

Nope, it's only illegal once weed has been resonated (smoked) in there...and even then it's pocession which is only a violation (this is New York State law btw). If you get caught with it after you smoke out of it, then thats your problem but you should at least be able to buy it in the first place.

the bongs sold online AREN't ILLEGAL int he first place, anywhere if u buy a pipe they always tell u it's for tobacco, and when u first buy it that is what it is considered, untill u smoke weed out of it, or have weed on u while u have the bong, it ISN'T drug paraphanaliea (??? on sep;lling)

whats it like in the states for drugs then ? where i live u can skin up pretty much anywhere as long as your not holding it in front of peoples faces or in a really public place, and u could walk down the street and smoke a joint and not worry about being pulled over or grassed (no pun intended) on by someone

i got a head shop around the corner from me..cops never bother anyone coming out of there ..i buy lose tobacco and my arguiles there .. the cops even goof around with us .. but i actually smoke tobacco products out of the stuff i buy.

Still, people in the USA have a lot more freedom than shitloads of the rest of the world.
