Hey guys, I really like this type of trance. If you don't know what I mean, I am talking about stuff like James Holden; progressive trancy tracks, that are kinda weird, bordering on electric stuff. Do you guys have any suggestions???

stuff by james holden, umm, starkid - crayons is a good example, some sasha stuff, polefolder and cp - dust (flash bros mix)....

heh i know thse arent exactly trance but they do give off some spooky vibe. if u want tunes that sound evil then u best try to tech/prog house like Satoshi Tomiie or Deep Dish hehehe. maybe u just like atmospheric stuff? in that case, i started a thread couple of wks ago about Atmospheric Music and ppl were quite helpful and listed many stuff. so check that out as well

also try out some Taucher stuff. he does nice progressive trance similar to James Holen imo. of course styles differ abit but still, both have the dark spooky sound

I think the spooky feeling are tunes that contain a lot of dissonant melody. A lot of good progressive trances are in this way.
