arrgh...ok, anyways, here is what I posted...but didnt show up for whatever reason:

I just got back from lunch
there was this girl sitting next to us, like a chair away,
and she was sooooooooooooo hot
Absolutley beautiful, cute...perfect for me, just my type
and
she was sitting by herself
Im sure everyone knows how extremely rare it is to catch a hottie sitting by themselves.

I'm kicking myself now cause I didn't say anything to her.
I have no idea what to say in situations like that tho
She wasn't looking up (looked like she was reading/doing some work), so I couldn't initiate a convo with eye-contact or a smile or anything

wtf do you say in those situations without it sounding blatently obvious that you are drooling over her??

Just walk up and say hello. If she takes the piss she wasnt worth it.

Just say what you think, that way you either score, or you get told no thanks - either way you have a decision made and you know what to do.

first, how do you know she is you rtype form her appearance?

second, you should be kicking yourself. you don't get second chances at stuff like that.

Yes its like hell when there is no eye-contact to start with. im way to shy to just stood up and hgo there and say "hi". With eye-contact you can at least see if you have a chance, but even then its sometimes to difficult to approach, especially in random environments like a train or a bus stop central. on a party its not half that difficult.

I guess there comes a point where you just grow out of it. I haven't, I know for a fact there are so many times that i have missed out on being with tons of girls (that is dating, not sleeping with them) cause I have always been too shy and modest (sp) to start a conversation or make a move (not sex). I don't want to sound cheesy and i don't like approaching some random girl just because she looks good because she probably gets that all the time and that would just make me "every other guy." the only time i have approached girls is when i had some thing in common with them, something real to talk about and not "hi, i lost my number....., can i have yours?" "Damn bitch, DAT ASS IS FINE"

my advice to you, look for something (other than looks) that you like about her. and maybe use that to open conversation.... both in the same section at the cd store..... talk about music..... she is eating.... how is the food? pickin out shoes, you sister has those ones..... etc....

Just go for it. I agree with Prototrance's response. I'm shy as hell (in terms of going up to a girl out of the blue), sometimes I approach a girl and say hi, othertimes I don't. The messed up thing is if the girl is interested (ie I get looks, smiles etc) I don't know what to do. Just kind of freeze. It's as if I'm in a certain type of mood I will go for it, if not then I won't. (I don't even know what determines if I will or won't take action). It's wierdness!

i dont get why "talking to girls" threads keep popping up lol. the question should be "Do i have testicles, or are those jellybeans" nut up and do it, you know the reason you arent talking to them isnt because you havent found the golden line of all powerfulness that drops them to their knees with an O face, its cz youre a fuckin pussy, to be blunt. which makes no sense either. because if you realize that you are a loser, what the fuck else do you have to lose? some hottie that wasnt going to talk to you anyways? fuck.

Sometimes we can make the simplest things so complicated. The easiest thing to do is just walk up and say "hello." You'll know imediately if she's interested or not by the way she responds. And don't be shy about it, the worst thing that can happen is that she would be uniterested. It's not like you're going to be executed if she doesn't like you.
