To War or not to War?
Well with all the threads relating to war, Irag, US policies, and soforth I decided to make a discussion. Only Intelligent post please.
I for one am a suporter of war with Irag, I believe it will be the only way to put the middle east to rest. If we dont do something now it will eventually escalate again and again. A man who kills his own people will never take resolve in peace. And no matter how many people say that we should have world peace, i doubt it will not come for a very long time. It is human nature to want to be on top. Not to mention until we have one universal religion we won't have world peace. Relegion plays such a important role, religion has caused wars for 1000's of years. The catholics used it as aa scapegoat to justify their crusades. What makes everyone believe that all of a sudden its all just gonna stop....Did you know in palestine they do not reconize Isreal as a country in their textbooks and what not, they show it all to be palenstine. And im sure they are not the only ones who do this. How can they even be held responsible? THey dont even know any better, from the time the born they are taught that way. How can we ever expect peace with out proper education.
PS: If i have poor structure on my post, I was just expressing some thoughts....
You think it will be the only way to put the middle east TO REST...............
Yeah right.
If we go to war the middle east could unite under their common theme, Islam, then it would get really messy.
And before you tell me I know nothing, know this, I lived in the middle east for 6 years - I know what its like.
leave the middle-east alone , they day the middle-east population will want to get rid of the dictators they're gonna do it by themselves , it's not like people are begging america or anyone else for help ...
war with iraq will make uniting the middle east even harder.
i'd go on and talk but first
this thread belongs in the politics forum
plus the intelligent posts only rule has already been violated multiple times
Obviously, going to war with Iraq is not going to solve the world's problems. I'm from the Middle East, and I know what it's like there. A war in Iraq would not only disrupt the region it would destroy it. If Iraq were to bomb Israel (if they had the weapons to do so) other countries would be affected too. But, we can't let Saddam rule free for another couple of decades. If only Bush Senior had done his job in the Gulf War, would we be here?
Actualy we would. As long as Saddam's regime rules in raq, American oil interests are in jeopardy, and there will always be tension between the two countries.
America is such a big bully. We go around when we see problems and we have to all of a sudden solve them, while we ignore our own problems. I mean, it's good to help other countries but we get too involved and end up creating more problems. If it's absolutely necessary, than yes, action must be taken but when's it's not that bad, going in to solve the problem just makes us looking like were poking our noses in others businesses, and thats why we got sooo many people hating America.

Ill cut to the point here, since I'm tired of typing it out over and over. A war with Iraq is pointless, will cost many innocent civillian lives (not just Iraqi citizens), billions upon billions of dollars that a struggling economy just cant afford, do shit to "put the middle east to rest," and do a thousand times more harm than good. If you believe otherwise, do some research (while completely avoiding media hogwash like cnn bbc or fox or all of that shit) and get some common sense. A pre-emptive iraq strike is completely assinine.
not to war.

Could someone please name just one example where americans actually did help by invading.... exept for helping their own needs.
War in any case is pointless. There can be no justification for violence against others.

| Kosovo maybe??? I don't know that we got anything out of it (like oil). Maybe you don't remember those pictures of those skeleton people behind the barb-wire fences, but I do. Iraq is not the same thing @ all though. |
Ahh. You are from the Balkins right??

my intelligent view on the middle east
You know why I think there are so many problems in the Middle East? It's not the Israelis, Palestinians, Iraqis, Syrians, etc.
The problem is that normal people like you and me in the middle east CAN'T DRINK BEER. I mean hell if the government took away my beer I would be PISSED as hell! Pissed at everybody ... my neighbors, my boss, my parents, Canada, Mexico, EVERYBODY!! Think about it ... you can't go to a bar after a rough day at work and relieve stress or vent over a nice, cool, refreshing beer. You can't live life to the extreme and get ridiculously smashed on the weekends to prep for the work week. All that pent up stress would build up in me until I'm ready to kill someone!!! And although fellow citizens most certainly deserve my wrath who better to kill than a canadian or mexican??? The same holds true in the ME. We shouldn't BOMB Iraq .... we should get them BOMBED! Same goes for Saudi Arabia, Syria, and whoever else has a gripe. I should submit that to Bush as a viable peace process. Man how much fun would it be to be a peacekeeper? Even if my peace proposal doesn't work ... at least I'd still be bombed.
Anyway that's just my chillout room perspective on the issue ... for my political perspective its been thoroughly discussed in the politics/flaming forum.
to war.
no point in discussing. it's inevitable. next week - bombing begins
and a message to all you anti-war protesters. do something better with your time. protests don't do fuck all when someone's mind has been made up for months
