Yes, apparently they were owned by the Wigga Posse

Posted by Breeze on Mar-06-2003 10:17:

too bad, doesnt mean the music will end. the artist through bonzai will go to other labels or start their own. i really like the bonzai sign.

Posted by Simon00 on Mar-06-2003 10:21:

Bummer i just got two bonzai albums today, push from beyond and the yves deruyter album. Love them both. Maybe joof can pick them up?

Posted by Psygnosis on Mar-06-2003 11:15:

Last song i got by them was Cape town - Pitstop..

BUT FUCK...who cares really if a record company goes down, its part of life, do you know how many bloody record companies there are...

Posted by bassaholix on Mar-06-2003 11:17:

The artist will move but it won't be the same...

WHY OH WHY!!!!

It's a pattern that will continue to grow. the kids arnt buying vinyls anymore and the kids have grown up and have families and kids to support and dont have that $60 a week to blow on vinyls.

a pattern that'll lead to maybe the extinction of vinyl, and therefore, the vinyl dj? boy that's a scary thought. pop that alongside the progressing times with the digital music medium, and such things as "final scratch", that extinction is probably a step closer to inevitability, swaying the newer generation to that cheaper alternative. very scary indeed.

yeah and they blame all the kids that download mp3's (you kids), rather than those who support them by purnchasing their merchandise (me). mwahahahah. I DID ALL I COULD

but seriously, rip bonzai

Posted by Jah on Mar-07-2003 04:51:

this mp3 debate is so lame.
half the artists that release on the respective label would never have ever ever ever reached half the publicity or fame that comes from allowing your music to be heard around the world... it sucks for up and coming artists (or it could work in thier favour if they market it right) but look what it did too like tiesto... and armin...
