PVD is tha MAN (not tenaglia)

This pic says it all. PVD @ Roxy 21-02-03 in NY city, which means alot as of 9/11. If you've visited his site recently his opening page says PEACE. It's no wonder a guy like this is an integral part of "the love parade" in Berlin. Quality dj, quality producer and a quality man, much respect. Come and see him in April mates.

Tenaglia's the man !!

He did a night at his regular Be yourself @ arc ion friday night, wich was called no war and it was a couple of month avec 9/11. I do appreciate that u are all trying to say that tenaglia is not the man. But tenaglia iiiisssss waaayyyy more recognized by the dance music community than pvd. If there was truly an award for best dj_....tenglia would win ( if it was to be voted by the dance music community not by some trance******s readers of dj mag :P )

By the way ... even if you are all tranceaddicte ..... i still love you all :P

But one day you'll all understand ..... house music ...a soul thing ... a body thing ....

And why would u think that every poll taken worlwide by reader always place Trance dj's at the top of their "best dj's" anbd that house dj's come afterward (and sometimes after techno dj's )

Trance is becoming the "Pop" of electronic music. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad thing since more and more ppl will get in the movement. Tho u must all admit that trance never really evolved, it's always the same kind of build-up, with the same kind of trancy synth, with the same kind of cheap emotions ( event taha once agrees on that !!)

I'm also saying that Trance is the least popular electronix music for me ( even behind breakbeat, prog, dnb, jungle .... hell even hardcore is better than trance cheeze !! ) Fuck i'll say it

Trance pollutes dance floors ... U CAN'T DANCE TO TRANCE !!!!!! u try dancing ... then a build-up .... 2 minutes latter the build-up ends and u can dance ... and then another build-up ( in wich u can only place your hands in the air )

For your info and to refresh your memory, Sasha and Digweed were number one and two.

Dancing to trance isn't quite as groovy as prog/house IMO, but that doesn't mean you can't dance to it. I love big euphoric high-energy buildups =)

Funky house is groovy and funky but prog is mostly dark music with repetitive beats.

1 thing is sure, even in his hometown, Danny T is less popular than PVD!
I am not saying Danny is better than Paul or Paul is better than Danny but 1 thing is sure, Paul is huge in New York!

Come on Krinker don't be foolish, you really dont understand how popular paul van dyk is? He single handedly brought in 12000 people at BEB last year. With out him there was no party. Don't trash him just because you dont like the music he plays.

HMMM 2002 was the first time there was 3 trance dj's on top 10. even with that. in the whole list tell me how many trance dj's are there?
two years ago was digweed, 3 years ago sasha, etc. when it comes to trance people just know tiesto, ferry, and armin worldwide, and i mean really know them.maybe now a bit of marco v. and johan gielen. so i dont know what polls you mean.

yeah trance is becoming poplar. thing that house allready is. every year what song rule the electronic music world? last years was supposedly, tim deluxe - just won't do. layo and bushwacka - lovestory, etc. two years ago was or three, was what? superman lovers - starlight? brancasio and ashier - is gonna be a lovley day? or something like that. 4 years ago was that moloko tune or something.
tell me what trance tune has made it big? that it gets recognized worldwide in the electronic music scene? other than maybe cafe del mar? and please dont say darude.

well there is the same kind of stuff on your lovely house. the allready known overused black girl vocals. when i got into the electronic music scene. i tought the vocals on every house tune was made by the same girl. i swear. so it's like everything. there are good and bad tunes also.

so anyway that's it for me. :P sorry for my bad english.

that's just you i think. some feel progressive house very slow to dance. some like it. morsy is the best example. i saw his video dancing and i dont know why he keeps posting he supports progressive house, when there is no way he can dance to it :P i mean did you see how fast he was dancing to the techno beatz. everything is danceable. it depends on you.

btw im not talking anything wrong about tenaglia. i think he's more skilled than van dyk. on the decks. i was commenting on the whole "trance sucks and it's more popular than house" etc.

the best point to see how big trance is. check the montreal scene.

how many trance djs. and how many techno and house djs are comming? or have come to montreal since the begining of the year? yes i tought so too :P

PVD is EXTREMLY popular in New York. I was there two weeks ago and I've seen it all with my own eyes. The line line up was huuuuuge, it was at least 1 km long. When we came at 12 the line was going almost arround the whole building, it looked like this

And more and more ppl kept coming and it took us three freaking hours to get into the club, even though we had tickets. When we came in the whole club was packed and there were no less than 1000-1500 people waiting outside ( some of them with tickets) which were sent home by NYPD

So I wonder, does Danny Tenaglia brigns the same number of ppl to his gigs? I doubt that. PVD is da man, and this year he is waaaay better than Tiesto and other trance DJ's ( have not seen/heard Armin recently, so I cant really say anything about him).

The bottom line is PVD is DA MAN!

I just say i hate trance ... i was trying to give u arguments why

I know u ( for the most part ) love trance, but i don't i TOTALLY respect all of your opinions as i used to like it ... but i got bored of hearing the same melodies over and over again !
