What DJ do you want to see next?

ok so lets settle this debate once and for all...

who would you want to see at the next party?

Posted by Durafei on Mar-07-2003 16:22:

If POLL asked which DJs I DIDN'T want to see I would've chosen progressive. But the way it's stated, I'm choosing CHEEEEEEEESE

Posted by mecha on Mar-07-2003 16:41:

of course PROGRESSIVE

Posted by DigiNut on Mar-07-2003 16:45:

That's JohaN Gielen. Even if you consider it cheese, you probably should take the time to spell his name right.

And Tiesto and AVB are not?

(Don't get me wrong, I love AVB and I don't mind Tiesto but they are far cheesier than Gielen)

The day after a solid barbeque session, take a leftover sausage and cut it into thin slices. Now you take a Triscuit cracker, and you put one squirt of BBQ sauce on it. You then put one slice of leftover BBQ'd sausage on that squirt of sauce. Take a pickle and cut it into thin slices as well. Take one slice and put it on the sausage slice. Now take a Kraft Single processed cheese square. Fold it in half, and then in half again. What you are left with are four perfect squares, that coincidently, are the exact same size as a triscuit cracker. Place one of these squares evenly over all the layers on your cracker. Make as many of these cracker combos as you feel is necessary, and put all them in the microwave for 30 seconds. The beauty of Triscuit crackers is that they stay crispy, even after you zap em in the microwave. The cheese will melt over the pile of tasty yummies, 'securing' them to the Triscuit cracker.

Without the cheese, none of this would be possible.

enjoy.

True,
This is because the way a microwave works is that it heats water (and other liquids). So the dry things don't get heated.

Ok... now I'm hungry.

OK. ! Let's see just how CHEESY Johan Gielen is really !!!

Here is his latest tracklist from Trance Energy 2003
quote:

01 Three Drives - Greece 2000 (G & M Remix
02 Drax & Scott Mac - Angel (Katana Remix)
03 ID
04 Kid Vicious - Proceed
05 Armani and Ghost - Airport (Essential DJ Team Remix)
06 Cygnus X - Positron (Marco V Remix)
07 Rank 1 - Breathing (Airwave 2003)
08 Marcel Woods - Serenity (Techtrance Remix)
09 Svenson and Gielen - Answer The Question (Cosmic Gate Remix)
10 Divine Inspiration - The Way (Green Martian Remix)
11 Igor S - Boomerang
12 Agoria - Radio City (Alex Blake Mix)
13 Camisra vs Mauro Picotto - Let Me Show You Lizard
14 Slipmatt - Space (Mix 1)
15 Speakerfreaks - Pos 51 (Scott Mac Mix)
16 Don Diablo - Acceleration (Svenson & Gielen Remix)
17 Umek - Gatex (DJ Montana Remix) & Fatboy Slim - Star 69 (Acapella)

19 Armani & Ghost - Hard One
20 Underworld - Born Slippy (Nukx Mix)
21 Fingers Burnt- Lego Land (Vocal Mix)
22 Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way (Coast To Coast Remix)

Now, I don't see how this is cheesy. It's true that some of the tracks are somewhat older, but they are by no means cheesy.

There are a few tracks that Marco V playes, more than a few tracks that are played by Tiesto, Armin and the company.

Just curious, how do you define CHEESE ?

As far as Prog goes, I heard 2nd half of Dave's Seaman set at Kool House. I didn't hear the 1st half, he may have been good, but I literally fell asleep during the 2nd half of the set. I'm not kidding.

Posted by mot10n on Mar-07-2003 21:18:

i voted for other, just cause listening to techno day in and day out makes me touch my no-no spot. and it feels good.

Posted by GT_TraNcE on Mar-07-2003 21:21:

cheese vocals and cheesy uplifting melody synths = CHEESE TRANCE

Seaman is boring hmmm just ask and rest of TA what they thought about him that night, so it will clear your views and btw I will not really consider Seaman as a big progressive DJ. If you wanted to get into progressive just tune into release records radio anytime http://www.protonradio.com/proton.pls

cheers

I don't knwo what to classify Seaman as. I don;t consider it Prog, not trance and not house. I just define it as a mystery style that I immensly enjoy.
