Question for Miami residents?

So I get a call from the Dorchester yesterday and apparently they somehow overbooked their hotel by 40 rooms. I booked back in January and even called the hotel itself about a month ago to confirm my and my friends rooms. They said everything was good to go and then they call a week before we get there and tell us we don't have a room. They offered rooms at the Traymore on 24th (which is $129/night) or the Days Inn on 42nd (cheap but fuck that location). I would accept the Traymore if they compensated the price difference between the price we agreed to pay with them (which would be about $50/night) but they made it sound like they weren't gonna do that. What do you guys suggest as a response to this situation? I'm about to get rowdy with these people.

- I would scared them with SUING or something, dont know, thats just violating your rights,you could sue their ass to bankrupcy.. jeez Im pissed about it just by thinking of that..

talk to the hotel manager, i work for a travel agency and i know what htls can and cannot due, try not to be rude but be stern.
