Trance -vs- Prog RESOLVED

Contrary to popular belief, the current debate regarding Trance vs. Progressive is rather easy to resolve.

Let's step back for a moment, and look at the larger picture, if you will. Progressive can be regarded as the tangental evolution of trance, very much similar to the direction Easy Mac took, stemming from the traditional Kraft Dinner. Both can be cheesey, but it fully depends on your approach to preperation.

Accordingly, I think we can all agree that Progressive is much more appealing and easier on the stomach with less milk, where as Trance music clearly requires a salt-saturated water base.

Furthermore, the preperation time involved with Easy Mac is significantly less than that of traditional Kraft Dinner. What this implies about the convoluted ties between Trance and Progressive is completely obvious. Yet what remains to be determined is whether or not the physiological and biological consequences of both Easy Mac & Kraft Dinner and Trance & Progressive music factor into participation and reception.

Like all matters in the universe, every arguement presented can be simplified to a discussion about gas. You see, everyone unquestionably enjoys the smell of their own farts immensely, while only mildy enjoying the smell of others'. In view of that, it becomes quite obvious why you love trance more than progressive or vice versa: Your choice & taste in music is your fart.

I trust that this clears matters up for the TOTA community. However, if further confusion remains, feel free to PM me, and I will reply with candid photos of E-Master's sister in the shower.

Best Regards,
Soopa

Rofl....imo....there should only two types of music.....good and crap. New genres come so often that it confuses the newbies unlike ppl like me who have listened to so much so long..we know the difference.

As I stated in an earlier thread...that it evolves.

For John Digweed - gu006,014,019,MMII, his kissfm shows.

You also see how digweed changed but how music has over the yrs from prog trance.prog house to deep prog house.

For Nick Warren - gu003,gu08,011,018

You see how his style has evolved from trance to prog trance to prog, tribal house, deep house with a hint of trance.

For Sasha - gu009,gu013,Communicate and his recent sets

You see how he has evolved from epic trance to anti epic.

For Dave Seaman, gu012,gu016,022

You see how he has moved from prog trance.prog house to more prog with other elements
