Sasha - Wavy Gravy (Paul van Dyk remix) (Chris FM reconstruction)

Sasha - Wavy Gravy (Paul van Dyk remix) (Chris FM reconstruction)

http://www.dwalker.utvinternet.com/...nstruction).mp3

8.95mb, 6m 31s, 192kb/s.

Right click save as should work. If there are problems with my host I can put it somewhere else - this may not be the fastest server but its good enough for the file. Get it on the hub as soon as possible, as I **might** have to take the file down if my ISP gets bitchy.

Anyway. Onto the reconstruction. Been working on it for three days. I have put an intro and an outro onto the track - they're good enough to flow into and out of the track... rest of the track is great quality.

The start should be more or less exactly whats on PvD's copy - the end is slightly different - as I didnt have clean samples of Pauls ending I had to modify the end of the song a bit to fit in with my outro. I havent got many tools available but I did a good enough job with what I have.

So. Comments, etc. Hopefully this reconstruction is what a lot of you have been looking for.

Spread the word!!!

Enjoy.........

Why'd you have to reconstruct this?

Erm... I'm not being bad to anyone, it's just that this is the one song I really don't want to see reconstructed.

And who exactly have I been mean to? Just because I posted criticism about your track doesn't mean everyone's stuff sucks.

Posted by on Mar-09-2003 20:35:

lol
fuck the criticsm about my tracks!
you just don't like anything someone else does!
and it just seems like you're acting like you're better than everyone in here!
and you kiss ass to everyone who made it and released a track or something like that.
and that pisses me off

but hey, i can't change anybody
i just wanna know whats up with that

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Mar-09-2003 20:40:

Wtf?

I love the way you back up your flaming with facts...

quote:
you just don't like anything someone else does!

Sure. If you say so. Naturally I'm going to take your word for it, I don't need proof.
I am harsh when it comes to reviewing tracks, yes... but I'm only doing that because I want to push the quality further, not to be mean.

quote:
and it just seems like you're acting like you're better than everyone in here!

It'd be pretty idiotic of me to act that way when I'm clearly not.
When I listen to some of you guy's tracks I always get depressed because my own quality is nowhere near that.
Oh, and once again: nice to see you've investigated this point so far

quote:
and you kiss ass to everyone who made it and released a track or something like that.

Again - facts. You have any?
Of course you don't.
You're just yet another person who doesn't happen to like me and therefore you ruin other people's threads by flaming me with "the God's truth".

Oh well, if you really think I'm that shallow then it's your problem, not mine...

Now please, try to stick on topic rather than venting your personal anger on me (whatever reason you may have...)

i love it...
ending could use a bit of work...
try compressing the kick to match the kick in the main part of the song

you all do realize that sasha put all the samples of wavy gravy (and now the whole airdrawndagger album) for people to remix. they even had a w.g. remix comp and are announcing the winners @ the WMC.

i hear everybody bitching about how PvD ruined wavy gravy by remixing it and it shouldnt be touched... the man who wrote the song is having it touched by whoever wants it!

if you dont like the remixes or dont think that it should be touched, then dont listen to other people's work of it, but dont alienate those of us that would like a 4/4 kick added, or are interrested in hearing other people's interpretations of the song

Until I've gotten new programs to do all that stuff its gonna have to stay the same. I havent time with University and stuff to learn all this stuff.

Lets just say I did this entire reconstruction with Goldwave and a keen ear.

Thanks for the comments folks, good and bad I like to hear them.

Keep em coming.

here are the tracks before & after Wavy Gravy

Dark Monks - Insane (Steve Murano Dub)
Sasha - Wavy Gravy (Paul van Dyk Remix)
Paul van Dyk - Another Way (Club Mix)

ok...I gotta change my opinion on that thing.

It's totally NOT mixable (from CD-R)
Changes speed too often at the beginning

Posted by JJ-T1 on Mar-18-2003 12:24:

Interesting. Although I never been Wavy gravy addict...
THX!

Totally agree ... if someone could get this sorted then it'd be a fairly good recon!

LOL @ the classic Solid Sleep intro/outro ... i've seen that in a fair few recons now!

7/10

I know.... I was kinda aware of that from the start.

The trouble is, Paul mixed it in from two different tracks in the two sets I got the rips from. Although I got the speeds the same at the start, the song is being slowed down slightly for a good while, something I couldnt fix with the tools I had. (Goldwave )

But, it was only really made for an Mp3 listen at home, not really for CD-R and mixing stuff.
