Posted by escee on Mar-08-2003 04:29:

Posted by [ groovypants ] on Mar-08-2003 04:37:

I work
I'm a sales consultant @ NewTech Office Automation up in Crows Nest - selling mobile phones, phone systems, faxs/copiers, laptops, PDA's, MP3 players, and all those usual hi-tech gadgets. We use to have an Internet cafe here (which is why i applied for the job) which i use to administrate, now that its gone, I can't wait to leave this shithole!

Posted by webmeister on Mar-08-2003 04:41:

I do programming and data analysis for a market research company in St Leonards, Sydney. We're called NCS Pearson, I'm sure you've all fielded a couple of phone calls from our phone room ("Hi would you like to do a survey" "no, bugger off" )

I'm actually at work at the moment as I have way to much stuff to get through by Monday
Though at least there is no-one around today, meaning that I can surf TA

btw groovypants .. whereabouts in Crows Nest is your office? I'm on the Pacific Hwy at the top of the hill (just near the lights at Albany St), opposite the IBM building...
is your office near Ogalos? Because I eat there frequently

If there was one thing in looking forward to for work, it would be surfing the NET! MUAHAHAHAHA 70% of my time on TA is from work (which is where I also am @ now) And about 80% of my day @ work is spent on the net! MUHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA AAhhhhh the pleasures of bludging

webmeister: Do you catch a train to St. Leonards ? I get off @ St. Leonards station to go to work !

EDIT: hehe I'm @ Willoughby Rd. (somehow I totally missed your last paragraph that was directed to me )

Ogalos?? Hmmm I have no idea where that is?? I'm from the west (Liverpool hehe) so up here in the North is completely new to me. Plus I've only been working up here for 6months hehe

Posted by webmeister on Mar-08-2003 04:54:

That's because I edited it in after I posted

Which end of Willoughby Road?
The Chandos St end, or up the other end where it meets the Pacific Hwy (where the pubs are)?

And yeah I catch the train at St Leonards station and walk up the highway from there - I usually get to work between 8:45 and 9:15am

Posted by [ groovypants ] on Mar-08-2003 05:01:

Yah where it meets the Pacific Highway...Its quite strange really, you have all these pubs, cafes, and restaurants, and right in the middle of it all is a bloody Telstra mobile phone resller LOL MUAHAHAHA If you're ever in the area, drop by, I work here 6 days a week

I usually reach the station @ 9:20am

I'm an unmotivated student at Blue Mountains Grammar School.
I spend my days taking full advantage of my "study periods", *cough cough*, by listening to music and counselling others about their love life.
so yes, I suppose you could say I'm your typical bludger
ahh it's the good life (at the moment)

Is it just me or does everyone have serious studying and thinking problems when they are at school, listening to Trance.

When the HSC was on, i had to listen to a trance track before i went to do the test... it was like a drug.

I'm sure that everyone is like this but VES, try to cut back a bit on trance while at school cause soon it will take over.

Posted by Slade on Mar-08-2003 07:27:

I'm a professional tertiary student (Bachelor of Commerce, Major: Tourism)

and I work in a shoe store

I'm studying Telecommunications and Internet Technologies Engineering/Computer Science and Software Engineering at Swinburne Uni here in Melb. I'm also a security guard - not much of a "day job".

Posted by Solstice on Mar-08-2003 08:14:

Im a student about to finish Interactive Multimedia at the Computer Graphics College.

In reference to the comment above about trance and workflow, i actually find it makes me very productive, especially doing creative stuff.

Ahh yes ves, the dramas of the old the old BMGS. Day in Day out, 6 periods, tuck your shirt in, congratulations you failed, time for fucking assembly!

Yes i also go to BMGS, Yr 11, procrastinating when I should be doing work, but I couldn't be fucked cause I'm a lazy shite and woudl rather listen to music and post on TA. I think I'm gonna have to realy really crack down in yr 12.

But really I can't complain, except I want more money!

But generally it's all cool.
