Deep Dish played that same Coldplay track, it was one of the best remixes I have ever heard, period. I cried. (speculation at the time was that it was their own remix, it may very well be two different tracks, which is more likely, but meh!)

And I'm pretty sure PVD didn't play the original lamb track, but rather:

Lamb - Gorecki (Bill Hamel Remix)

AKA (MR.IM_TOO_GOOD_FOR_TORONTO_I_LIKE_TO_SCUBA_DIVE REMIX)

Angry

Woops, I forgot to mention

BILL HAMEL

(that's the first I've actually used an onslaught of those crazy red guys) hah

excellent set with a nice variety of tracks in there.

Its PVD! can't expect anything less from him.. can we?

Technooooooooo!

3 hours is the bare minimum for PVD to rock the place. I only wish he could drop a 5-7 hour set like he did back when he had residency at Twilo (NYC). Ahhh memories...

<-- saw pvd spin a 6 hour in NYC

I've only listened to the first half, and it's very well programmed. The funny thing is, I can't stand that Coldplay remix. It's NOT the Deep Dish Remix, which is mind blowing. This version is wayyy too sped up and it sounds like happy hardcore.

HOWEVER

Katoi - Touch You (Ralphie B Remix)<-------- WOW

I'm anxious for the third part to come online, I'm skeptical about the 2nd half, Pete what do you think?

i'm giving part 2 a listen right now. So far I'm really liking this set, it's not his usual style from the past year, and i haven't heard one song yet that has his signature claps 'n' high hats bassline (which i really got tired of).

And I actually liked that Clocks remix, although I think it would've worked better if he slowed it down a tad bit.

Posted by jon jon on Mar-08-2003 20:01:

The clocks remix has grown on me, but the one Deep Dish put together is ridiculous. It has the vocals and the final bang of all the piano layers. Amazing. I'm hoping it makes the Toronto GU.

I really really like set btw, nice one.

this set isn't just fuckin amazing, it's fuckin incredible, off the hook, pvd at his finest, well, at least imo...

such a great summary of his set from roxy 2/21

and the broadcast was before i saw him at bostich in frankfurt 3/1, and SO MANY of these tracks were played that night....a lot of the harder tracks were in this set.

plus he played lots of them sunday night in wuppertal 3/2...

no, Paul does not disappoint

can't wait for 4/17 and 4/20!!!

3/21? 3/22???

Finally gave part 2 a listen...fucking nice.

(oh and I was right, that is the Bill Hamel mix of Gorecki, fucking awesome)

I'll check out part 3 tomorrow, weeee.

The first eighty or so minutes of this set are absolutely MENTAL! Well aside from the 20 min or so of cheese that he hits us with during the middle of that first part. That last breaks tune on part 1 is so EVIL! I LOVE IT!!!

I Cant wait to see PVD!!!

I got my ticket yesterday *kind of* lol and im PUMPED for this party!

Hmmmm yea somehow I cant see Deep Dish playing the same version PVD played in this set *lol*. They have their own edit of it and I *think* that they got permission to have it licensed for their GU which initially surprised me as Coldplay are the same people that didnt allow Lost Witness to release their bootleg of Trouble, which probably would have been a HUGE anthem. They said something to the effect of they dont like what "that music stands for" or I dunno something *GAY* like that.

Mark Oliver played the version PVD played in his set on Saturday. It was the last tune of the night and then he mixed it into another bootleg of it, which had the vocals from Clocks. I know theres a Marco V bootleg of Clocks floating around too! Hmmmmm...anyways!
