yikes! this song is tough to beatmatch! at the end the last 50 seconds goes through some kind of beat change(had this same problem with Dust Wav also) anybody notice this with proceed? this is deffinetly a song you want to have already paired up with another song before you play it live.so far i've noticed Def By Stereo goes well into it.anybody have a song like this that goes kind of funky at the end making for a tough beatmatch?

GIVE TRANCE A CHANCE....

i've never had a problem that problem.
i went from..

10. Base Grafitti - Race Logic
11. Kid Vicious - Proceed
12. Eon - Pocket Damage

i didnt notice it one bit.

I need this tune, i think the only tune i usually have a problem with is Matt Darey - Moody. But i just use the hi-hats to match it in so that works fine.

Its u my friend. That song is really easy to mix to.

Posted by Steven Hays on Mar-09-2003 18:22:

I also find it really easy to mix into. The booger I am having with is James Holden - Nothing (93 Returning Mix)! That is fuckin my world up, I dunno what the problem is!

peace,

Steve

Any tips for mixing that in. It's the only record I have trouble with at the moment. I'm trying to make a new CD, and it's haulting everything. I've almost got it down, maybe a day or two of my spare time more.

Posted by onceler on Mar-09-2003 23:41:

i try to keep the bass down or out, and let the noises bring the track in... last night, i gradually faded the bass in, on my cd i just made, i think it was more sudden, but i dont fully remember.

if you wanna hear it, goto this thread, it has dl instructions for my latest 2 mixes..
http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&threadid=93371

also, just listen to how other people mix it and listen to what they do

I have some similar issues with a track I was lucky enough to find recently: BBE vs. Emmanuel - Orion.

I would swear that the last bit of the track speeds up, which requires some fast adjustments.

Posted by Vortex_SA on Mar-10-2003 20:02:

i got the same with "sound of goodbye (jon campbell)" i think its because the kick is built wrong, it just dont have a clear peak (the kick...)...

Posted by jesten on Mar-10-2003 23:48:

My copy is actually one of the easier tracks to beatmatch to. Maybe yours is warped.

Posted by sirhiss on Mar-14-2003 02:11:

With Darren Christian - Temporal ( john johnson remix ) it got to the point where I dont play it anymore because it always drifts.
I was certain the song was gradually speeding up.
Most tunes mentioned here I have no problems with, but with temporal and voyage i suck balls

Smiley DJ

After seeing this thread I decided to count the beats and I came up with 142BPM on my version . No problems mixing it here .

anybody have pilivan and zimbardo - late nite return??? i swear to god after the break the tempo increases.

Posted by joeh on Mar-25-2003 10:30:

This one's really easy to mix.

As for the beats - for both version it should be 137.7bpm - which is the very same bpm found on about half of Tsunami vinyl and loads of others.

System F - Out of the Blue
System F - Solstice
System F - Exhale
System F - Soul on Soul
Eon - Pocket Damage
Gouryella - Ligaya

Hydra - Affinity (Thrillseekers)
Kansai - Roccoco (Fire & Ice)
Sun Decade - I'm Alone (Mirco De Govia)
Oceanlab - Sky Falls Down (Armin)
Riva - Time is the Healer (Armin)
Driftwood - Freeloader
Sonorous - Protonic (Ronski Speed)
Midway - Inca
Kamaya Painters - Endless Wave
Vimana - We Came
loads more.....

All 137.7, that bpm seems to coem up loads more than any other bpm. All those require no pitch adjustment to go together, and go piss easy.

I actually find this very easy to beatmatch into. I made a mix a couple of months ago with this song in it. Here is the Link:

Dj Evan Almae' - Above Me

I mixed it in after Green Martian - Wizardry. I have the Tomcraft - Into the Light 12" as well, and the Kola Mix follows the same type of bassline. I found that one easy as well. Check out my mix and see what I did. I hope this helps. Keep practicing.

peace,

Steve

i find this quite easy to mix. infact i found a really good tune to mix out of it, but i cant remember what it was. if i remember i'll record it

Posted by DJ M.G on Mar-27-2003 16:11:

Tomcraft - Loneliness is a piece of piss to mix into, and my copy spins loosly on the platter to make it even harder, but i didnt find it a problem.

Posted by montie on Mar-28-2003 00:58:

i find Sasha - Scorchio (Sander Kleinenberg's Scorched Remix) hard to smoothly mix into

the beatmatching isn't the big problem
its just hard to make it flow smoothly
too much going on at the begining

and my version is warped so i have to constantly bend the pitch to keep it on beat which is a real pain in the arse, so that keeps my hands away from the EQ;s

Posted by lexiconavenue on Apr-01-2003 18:59:

mix further into the trk ...

Posted by Ghostface on Apr-30-2003 22:28:

Loneliness - Easy
Proceed - Even with a skipping mp3 on cdr not difficult.
Nothing (93R) - i had some problems initially due to the really unpunchy beat. As my beatmatching improved I've had no probs with it.

Generally it's really long subtle beats as oposed to compact punchy beats which make things difficult to me.

LOL...and I thought I was the only that knows this, what program did you use to find it out? I think Pocket Damage is 140.8 depends who ripped it.

I've notice ferry's tracks/remixes are either 134.8 or 137.7

heaps of other tracks are 139.8

Posted by Magic83 on May-02-2003 10:12:

lol proceed yeah I got also problems with it. Now I'm not really mixxing that long but this vinyl is really annoying me
