Has anyone used these?? are they any good when compared to other top decks, eg. techs, or vestax??? Also what would be a good price to by a used one for? Im looking at one thats 1 year old and still in good shape. Could use some help!!!
Thanks Matt
numark recalled the tt2
mostly because there were a lot of complaints of electrical/magnetic field interference (from what i know. the actual reason for the problem may be something else)
the problem is that sometimes the platter will go "crazy" and speed up a lot, and then come to a complete stop.
the reason i think it is because of electrical interference is because i've heard a few stories that the problem happens when people put something like a cell phone down next to their turntables
ouch.. where did u hear this?

although i have never seen any official document that numark did recall the tt-2 (and if i ever did read something on the web, it has been a while, so i dont fully remember it) but, there is enough info to assume it.
back when www.djsource.co.uk was still active, there were numerous of complaints about the decks goin "crazy". then about the same time when info started to trickle in about the tt-x, the tt-2s were pulled from the market.
also, the "pulling" of the tt-2 was not because of numark releasing its new line of products, because the new line hadn't been released yet, and after the tt2 was pulled, the tt100 was left on the market.
oh, and also, i now remember that it was a more consistent problem around a certain % on the pitch fader. like, if you set it at a certain percentage, then it would go crazy too.
it may not have been a "full recall" like they wanted all tt2s sent back, but i am sure that they did cease production after the complaints.
