98.1

98.1 at work all day - everyday.

Believe me, you can never hear too much Rod Stewart, Brian Adams, Celine Dione, Air Supply, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Phil Collins.

Somebody kill me quick.

I have a better idea:

change the station.

Posted by charmscars on Mar-10-2003 20:30:

ha ha! i had to listen to that all day for 4 months at a summer job.. teh worst is mike and the mechanics- in the living years... i felt like i won the lottery when they would play kokomo or copacabana

cs

that station plays the same songs every single day. I used to hear it every morning on my way to school. Then I got smart and brought my own music to listen to

Posted by Endlesswave on Mar-10-2003 20:33:

Thank God I never had to listen to that stuff. My first job was a retail one and it was when I first got into trance...I practically got most of the people working there into it (except those who were already trance heads). It was funny stuff.

That's a fantastic analogy! I felt the same way today when the 'dj' dropped the Beatles' Something in the Way...

ALCCODE: Can't change the station unfortunately, and the music is coming out through all the phones so there's no escaping. Can't even bring my own music to work, cause I'm always on the phone.

The worst part is, I'm hearing all the same songs that 98.1 was playing three years ago when I had a horrible office summer job.

"Don't wanna be flabby anymore...I don't want to be a fat guy.
Hey Look at me - I'm a pear.
Blubbery Rubbery outta shape dude."

Posted by mute79 on Mar-10-2003 20:57:

hmm, i was gonna say its better than not listening to anything at all, but on 2nd thought

LOL!! poor man.. this is TORTURE!!

i remember when 98.1 used to be played in my house. i found it so depressing!! thank god it's been changed to classical. at least that's bearable, if not annoying listening to all the time.

to tell you the truth, when i'm concerned, i never turn on the radio at home at all! it's all a complete waste and garbage to listen to. if i want music, i just spin on my decks or listen to some mp3's. trance, of course.

but, if you're forced to listen to crap at work, all i can say is bear it...and make fun of it, so as to make the bearing all the easier!

dude, i love that song!!!

I'd ratrher listen to 98.1 thatn z103.5, kiss92, or 93.5. Now THOSE stations are depressing. Mostly at my work It's rather Mix 99.9 or my Cd player

Posted by DigiNut on Mar-10-2003 21:29:

Meh... whenever I get a ride from my dad I'm forced to listen to that garbage. Someone else said it already, but I'll reiterate, not only do they play depressing songs from depressing artists but they play the exact same songs every single day!

I swear to god, they don't even have a radio DJ, they just have a Winamp playlist on infinite loop...

I never listen to radio anymore cept for 680news to know the headlines and weather when I wake up, 104.5fm for the sunday funnies and when i really need a laugh...103.5fm. Who wants to listen to drive at 5...street mix...with danny d trainwrecking. Or the live to airs..where they say how rammed the place is, how many girls are there, how great the dj's are

lol Yeah man. The live to airs are funny as hell. On the way to Ultraspin my friend and I were listening to one at Paparazzi. I jokingly said "Let's go there!".

Posted by torontotrance on Mar-10-2003 23:40:

i remember I was on my way downtown to see hybrid...in my dad's car...only the radio works....103.5fm....they go....YOU HAVE TO BE HERE.....BEST DJ IN THE WORLD DANNY D...i almost hit a guardrail laughing (ok....that's a stretch but you get the fucking idea). I was like....gino club or hybrid. Then I got downtown...system is across from paparazzi.....see ginos freezing their asses off in like dress pants n shit....i'm like in jeans and stuff....thinking....at least the deejays here can mix.

Posted by mr. poopyhead on Mar-10-2003 23:43:

i worked a night shift before... try listening to 97.3 from 7-11pm... its this lady named delilah.. and she plays the same 30 songs OVER AND OVER... i swear... you think other djs are bad...

she plays that song that goes: "thats what friend are for..." at least once a night... ridiculous..

yep you are right my friend,it isPlastique and it is the gino capital!!

Posted by DigiNut on Mar-11-2003 02:23:

I was actually talking about this on Saturday before the party... when I went to Hybrid I noticed the plastique across from System and at first I thought, oh man, what a place to be lol... but then it hit me...

System is therefore guaranteed to be virtually GINO-FREE since Plastique is right across the street!

Posted by torontotrance on Mar-11-2003 03:31:

yes i realize my mistake.......what a night that was....no ginos..(no offense ppl but ppl all dressed up going hey guy...sup guy....and since I'm white..i stick out like a sore thumb). Anyway...it was funny seeing guys with no jackets and short sleeve shirts....freeze their asses off in -20C...while...i'm warm in my jacket across the street. Plus I bet I had a better time seeing UK direct deejays....then some tosser than plays 4 min edits.

Well luckily for me when I'm at the office it's beats and when I'm at my warehouse it's beats. Joys of being a manager. I even have tables set up in my warehouse. As for radio 103.5 or Mojo AM 640 is the best Toronto has to offer. We need Radio 1 out here.
