Messed up Movies :)

Me and Mobius watched Cube 2 (hypercube) on sunday and we were thinking of movies like this one that keeps you guessing till the end or are just so messed up in a good way.

The Game
Memento
Suicide Kings
Event Horizon
Donnie Darko
Mulholland Drive (remember tatgirl?? This movie i still don't get though hahahaha)
Minority Report
Usual Suspects
requiem for a dream
Run Lola run

Does anyone like these kind of movies too??? if not what is your fav kind of movies????

And does anyone know any other movies like this so we can watch them lol

If you want a movie that keeps you guessing till the end and beyond and is just so messed up in a far out way try Naked Lunch. You could watch it with 4 people and you would all have a different take on what happened..

I saw Pi for sale last week at Futureshop, on DVD, if you feel like buying it, heheh.

I love those types of movies; the really messed up ones that get you thinking, although I haven't watched many. I've seen Requiem, Fight Club, Event Horizon and Minority Report (although I wouldn't classify Minority in the same category as the others, cause it's just not THAT messed)

I'm downloading pi right now I want to buy all of these movies on DVD too i've been looking on ebay they would be amazing to have and plus you can watch them over and over again and not get sick of it

ya, I'm getting a DVD player tomorrow so I think I'm gonna pick up Requiem and Memento.

I'm trying to think of other movie's that fuck with your mind (or keep you guessing), but I can't think of any :-\

One thing that pissed me off about Minority Report was at the end how Tom Cruise dictated the bad guys plan back to him...wtf is up with that? It felt out of place. And I thought that movie was over 3 times, but it just kept going...

thats like the ring i thought that movie ended and it didn't it kept going hahaha

Donnie Darko was good. And if you thought Mullholland drive was fucked up, you should try one of David Lynch's better movies. "Lost Highway", it's really fucked up, it's a movie that will have you thinking. I had the movie for 2 years before i could actually make some sort of conclusion on what it's about.

Make sure you get the director's cut of Requiem (the other version is heavily censored) and if they still have it, the Special Editon of Memento (one of the coolest DVDs I've ever seen!)

Seven, The Thin Red Line (one that everyone seems to hate), and Waking Life are my favorites...along with a bunch of foreign flicks...

emm i'd have to say the Ring, i didnt know what was going on till the end :P

ya, after she got out of the well, i thought it was over. I'm glad it didn't end like that though, it would've been to cliche if it did.

Lurid: I thought The Thin Red Line was pretty good. I want to watch it again.

The Beach, thats another interesting movie. I love the quote at the very end, how paradise is not a place where you go to, but a place in time.

glad you like it enough to watch it again. I got it on old skool laserdisc and have probabbly wasted more than a day or 2 of my life watching it! I think what ticks people off it that they expect a typical war movie and instead get over 3 hours of mostly voice overs and philosophy...

Cronenberg movies are pretty messed up too (ie. crash)...sometimes not in a good way...

AHHH crash i watched that.. lol i remember when it came out my parents told me not to watch it lol i guess cuz of all the sex lol

I do not know if this counts, but
Eyes Wide Shut, and American Beauty are to say the least different and not the typical movies, and i do not know, may be American psycho that movie is funny but surreal i thought, esp the end.

it's about 5 kids who have to live in a house together and they are broadcasted 24/7 on the internet to people that subscribe to the site.

they win 1 million dollars if they all stay in teh creepy house for 6 months without anyone leaving

amazing cinematography where they use webcam views and night vision when they walk around at night


check it out.

stoned or sober, these 3 movies are trippy
