Junkie XL's new album

Has anyone got the name of this? I've got a copy from a friend labeled as Junkie XL - Spring 2003 Album and I was wondering is there a tracklist or even a title??

The one you have is merely a promo... and it's tracklist looks like this:
quote:

01 - Junkie XL - Tennis [06:31]
02 - Junkie XL feat Saffron - Crusher [05:34]
03 - Junkie XL - Breezer [08:05]
04 - Junkie XL feat Gary Numan - Surreal [06:23]
05 - Junkie XL feat Saffron - Spirits [04:58]
06 - Junkie XL - Nudge [06:54]
07 - Junkie XL - Mogwai [04:57]
08 - Sasha and Junkie XL - Beauty Never Fades [08:12]
09 - Junkie XL - Casio [05:14]
10 - Junkie XL - Outro [05:11]

To get rid of any misunderstandings: This is not the tracklist of the new Junkie XL album! This is the tracklist of a promo album that was released in August 2002 to promote the upcoming album. Most of the tracks on it will not appear on the new album, since they have been replaced by new material. So for the real tracklist we have to wait until the release of the album in May 2003.

Taken from JunkieXL.nl:
quote:
During his small tour to the Two Tribes Festival in Australia and New Zealand, Tom gave away some information about the upcoming Junkie XL album "Radio JXL - A Broadcast From The Computer Hell Cabin", to be releases in May. He explained that this album will be a double album with the radio concept as a central theme. One of the discs is called "3pm", the other is called "3am".

So Tom explains: "The 3pm CD reflects daytime radio and dance music merged with pop music, and I worked with artists like Saffron (Republica), Gary Numan, Robert Smith (The Cure) and Chuck D (Public Enemy). There are 15 people with pretty different backgrounds on the record. The 3am CD reflects night time radio and is similar to what a DJ might do. It is very dance-orientated, it starts slowly and dubby, and builds up over 70 minutes to steaming techno."

The exact release date of the album will be announced soon.

I'm definitely gonna buy this as soon as it is released. No need to download IMO

Well usually I download tracks/albums first to see if I like them. If I don't I don't buy the album, but also throw away the mp3. But in the case of Junkie XL I'll take the risk and buy it anyway. He's on fire and has been producing quality track after quality track last year.

I did the same with Tisto's cd's. I always buy them, no need to listen first.

Oh, right - I get your point.

I've not downloaded that promo album either because I want to hear the real deal, but if most of the tracks aren't going to be on the album I might just download it anyway...

I'm thrilled JXL is coming out with an album soon, like many of you guys this is going to be a download nothing, and savour every minute of the full release in CD quality with headphones on kind of thing.

JXL has been releasing nothing but stormers lately, and I can't imagine this album being anything less than phenomenal...

Can't wait!
