-- find your searched item in a loooong thread?

Dunno find your searched item in a loooong thread?

maybe this has been up before? if so? -sorry.. I browsed through quite a number of threads though, before posting.

well.. this is my problem..

"I was looking for a _special persons_ answer in the swedish forum and I know he has only posted maybe 4 times, in the same thread.. but the thread is like 140 pages long .. and I know his name would turn up in red.. and all but I dont wanna search through all the 140 pages...

Wouldn't it be cool to have a little line in the top of the topic (after opening it) saying: .... (like a magic genie, hehe)
"he wrote on page 87!" "???

cause I know the server or whatever it is.. knows exactly on what page he wrote otherwise it wouldnt find the exact thread

...anyways, that would be nice

maybe I've missed some secret options or so? while searchin? if so, I need some answeeeers
Thanks

instead of clicking on the thread he responded to, cant you click on the reply? that will take you to the answer

I think

he meant, on the search page check "Show results as posts" instead of "Show results as threads"...

None of you are understanding...

I'll look into it.. I think there's a customization that can be done so you can search within a thread......

In this instance, couldn't he have done a "search for all posts by this user" from the profile page? If I'm not mistaken, it shows a preview of the post as well, making it easy to find the response that you're looking for...
