Dunno Numark TT-1700

Hey guys,

I have a chance to pick up a set of Numark TT-1700 turntables for just about nothing, excellent condition with orginal boxes and all. Besides the fact that they are belt driven, would these be worth it for a starter? All I really want to do is pick them up, learn, and pass them down for about the same price I got them at. Your comments would be awsome...

That is how I started...on some awfull belt drive turntables, but it gave me the chance to figure out if it was something that I wanted to do. How much are you getting them for? Don't spend too much cause like you said you will get rid of them when you don't need them anymore. I was lucky to just have them handed down to me, I didn't have to pay anything for them. The only thing that I had to do was to buy a mixer, which wasn't really a problem. But yea if you can get them pretty much handed down to you then I would say go for it, but save at the same time just in case you decide that you want to move on and make the plunge in better decks.

witht that being said I would not get them. Is this something that you want to do? is this something that you want to invest the money on? if you are unsure, then I would suggest getting some tracks(if you don't have some already) and take them somewhere where you can kinda get the feel of things from there. That is only a suggestion.

check out HTFR.co.uk

they are selling Citronic PD2s for 59 each in the clearance line!
they usually sell for 350 a pair!

i dont know how much that is in dollars though and dont know what the shipping would be like either but its a real bargain IMO
