Yay

Do we get a whole Greek mythological tale over the night?

Posted by Ian on Mar-16-2003 02:16:

You're in for another treat, Dani's mixing is a hell of a lot improved in the last even 3 months, all the practice is paying off. You won't have Marco with you tho (other half of flutlicht & half of SHOKK) cos he doesn't fly well, apparently his one & only flight freaked him out badly cos he hadn't eaten, or something, Ste told me one night, but Dani is getting better

Posted by Sid on Mar-16-2003 13:19:

Flutlicht are just awesome, They just add soo much to every track they remix! can't wait till they come

Posted by Solstice on Mar-16-2003 13:55:

cant wait until they arrive!, where will they be playing do you think?

by the way, the Flutlicht site is like the only decent dj site ive ever seen, good to see some taste used.

Posted by julianreynolds on Mar-16-2003 23:34:

I heard this rumour from someone a while ago. Flutlicht and SHOKK are good mates and work together so I expect that the same people that bought SHOKK out will bring Flutlicht out too (Pharmacy crew). If this happens expect a rockin warehouse party in Melbourne!!!

yes very snazzy indeed.

it's a shame however that it took an eternity to load. i eventually grew impatient and got out before i even got a chance to get in.

if the pharmacy crew are gonna be behind this, there's no doubt it's gonna go off. Dumonde, Uberdruck and now Flutlicht, thank you Pharmacy. Thank you.

as someone said... they add so much to all the remixes they do, fucking genius!!!

Posted by Drifter on Jun-11-2003 12:56:

they're not coming to perth nooooooooooooo...sounds like a good plan for a road trip ehhhhh

Posted by Lanithium on Jun-11-2003 13:42:

strange rise didnt pick them up..

Posted by Rememberence_ on Jun-11-2003 19:36:

just a tip for the pharmacy crew.. you would come across much more professionally if you did some research on the acts that you are booking. Flutlicht isn't one person, neither is SHOKK. Talking to some avid fans of such artists could be all you'd need to do to maintain the integrity of the information you mass-mail to people, and to gain their respect as promoters.

cheers for putting on great parties

Posted by aphex_syn on Jun-12-2003 03:39:

Thanks for the advice Rememberence, but while i'm quite aware that Reverb also makes up part of both acts, he is merely a producer and does not dj at all. Hence, Shokk and Flutlicht are represented 'in clubland' by Giotto Dj and Dj Natron respectively. This is how they ask to be promoted, who am I to argue? There is a little more to booking and promoting acts than meets the eye... This is similar to when we booked Dumonde, whereby our contract dictated we bill them as Dumonde and JamX; obviously incorrect but out of my hands nontheless...

Rememberence- don't preach to me about professionalism and not doing my research until you have done the same... Cheers.

Posted by Rememberence_ on Jun-12-2003 04:11:

My apologies, as you can imagine I just read the flyer and the information looked dodgy. But if that's what they requested, then so be it. And I wasn't preaching, it wasn't an attempt to flame you. An honest mistake on my part. cheers

thank you for enlightening us on what was surely a baffling error that promoters were often found guilty of.

i like rem, thought these errors were made on the promoters part, but now that we are more informed on how it works, it clarifies a lot of things. it sure explains a lot of flyers throughout the years.

and yes, you do put together some outstanding parties (some of the best in fact )

Posted by julianreynolds on Jun-12-2003 11:46:

bummer... i usually play at Pharmacy but unfortunately missed out on their biggest one... ah well maybe they play at Bass Station???

I guess that explains why the flyers were all wrong

Cheers!
