Hey ppl,

Today, I saw on some other board that there had been disasters in the montreal area as well, like in the US. Shooting in clubs.

So I looked it up and found this from last september.

There was also something about shootings at Vatican I think.

I've only lived here for a year, but that kinda got me scared for some reason. Nobody died in the red-lite shooting but still.

I haven't been to an afterhours yet, Paul Van Dyk will be my first time, but I guess now that I feel unsafe, I was wondering whether this happens a lot downtown, or what to do to avoid these things.

I didn't mean to scare anyone, and I'm guessing most of you knew already about these events but I was just wondering.

I've been partying alot downtown for the past 7-8 years and the worst i witnessed is someone getting a punch cause he was harrasing another guy's gf and both were drunk. Seriously, Montreal's downtown is very safe compared to other big cities and I don't think you should fear anything. It is very rare that someone innocent gets in harm's way. Most of the times its someone after someone else to get even...

I've been maybe 30 times to Aria, 5-6 times to Sona, countless times at clubs like extreme, 737, vatican, groove society, jetclub, etc you name it, and violence is something that you don't wont witness that easily.

Aight, your 3.5 cents kinda convinced me, I only go to 737 for the moment but I was hoping to come to Aria almost every week during the summer so yeah.

i go to bed for 5 minutes and when i come back i find this mess alec is causing

ronger : downtown montreal is the safest downtown in north america , of couse fights can happen and shit but as malek said innocents are never involved (99,99% , 100% safe doesn't exist anywhere)
