04 Justin Timberlake vs Rank 1 - Luv yur Awakening

I have never in all my life laughed so much at a track.

Posted by Ian on Mar-17-2003 00:51:

this is worse than Jean fart scratching, simply cos that was for 2 minutes, this is 50 minutes of laughable hell, I even cheered when the Advert break came on

Posted by DJ_Skaya on Mar-17-2003 00:56:

haven't heard him in recent yesrs, guess it's a good thing, tho if I were him and I read all these comments, I would look at my place in the DJ mag poll and think "You all can suck my cock " to myself

agreed thats the funniest shit

if i'm wrong, stab me in the eye, but....
i always never really classified Jules as a real trance DJ. I think he tries to blend in hip hop into trance, and thus making the set a bit more....what's the word..... fun? like a college party DJ. Cmon, he's not worse than DJ Jean. He fucked up that PPK song, resurrection, now THAT was something to laugh about

Posted by Tim_G on Mar-17-2003 02:49:

Hey,

04 Justin Timberlake vs Rank 1 - Luv yur Awakening [Bootleg]

Anyone got that? I didn't catch the set, but I'm curious to how it sounds and stuff. Thanks.

honestly, i giggled uncontrollably every time i remembered what he did for about a week after i heard it... must listen to it now, thanks for reminding... great stuff...

I saw him spin this previous thanksgiving, he did throw down some good tunes but seems like he was more interested in taking pictures with cameras passed up from the crowd and signing autographs throughout the whole set. Crowd interaction is great and I'm glad he was trying to be close with the crowd instead of just standup up and spinning his set but his mixing quality lacked because of it. There's a fine line that should be drawn. Not everyone was able to be up at the front and be buddy buddy with him, but everyone did throw down 35 dollars to see him that night and they didnt pay to watch him take pictures.
