Official Review: St Patricks Day Parade !

lol,

I just had to make one since it was my first time.

I got there at 1pm, then watched the parade until 3:15 or so.

Then, I just had to drink some green beer, so after looking for 30 min for a way to walk across St Catherine's, we went into Maclean's and got some green beer ! woohoo (just beer and some food coloring)

Then, since we were all starving, we decided to find some pub in Crescent that wasn't packed. Luckily enough, we found a table in Winnies. Then after two hours, a lot of pitchers and a meal we decide to leave. Me and two of my friends walk out the door and after waiting five minutes, I called my other friends inside. One tells me there's a huge fight going on inside the pub. At the same time, I see ten cop cars coming down and approximately 50 SWAT members walking across. First, they chased the guy who had started the fight down the street. It was weird cuz all of the bouncers of Crescent were chasing his white punk ass as well. Then three ambulances got there and the SWAT team pushed us back even more. There was still two of my friends inside. One guy and his gf who he couldn't find in the building. Then after a while they both came out and she was crying. Turns out she couldn't find the exit, and three ppl had been stabbed just in front of her. She had to help the bar ppl with the bleedings until the ambulance came and apparently, since she's a lifeguard, she was the only one who knew what to do. Then we saw the three people get into the ambulances more or less unconcious. And the guy was caught.

Then we go to Lionel-Groulx, to take the bus bake to West Island, and four cop cars go right up to the entrance, and police starts running downstairs. There had been a gang fight downstairs. Police arrested some people but no one was hurt.

Well, I think that the effect of booze must've helped the events, but it was too much for me in one day.

Now I have the biggest headache because of all that beer so I'm going to sleep.

Tell me your stories if you went as well.

Later.

shit this is ackward after the talk we had yesterday about montreal being a somewhat violent-free city... but all this booze isn't helping.

this feels weird

Wow.. I heard cop cars going wild from my window but I didn't take the time to check where they were going. The parade was totally packing Ste-Catherine's street from what I could see from my window, so I figured it was just the usual rowdy drunken people causing chaos in the streets.

The poor girl who was there for the stabbings, that's absolutely awful... at least she was there to help though.

I went to my parents' house on the west island halfway through the day and the damn line-up for the 211 was sooooooooo long and I had to wait for 2 buses to go by. Damn Sunday schedule!!

But seriously, this kind of thing doesn't really happen too often, only with big crowds of drunken people, which won't be happening at Aria. Don't worry!

What a hectic day!

damn it, i saw 7 cop cars passing really fast by me today, i dunno if it has to do with that incident...

my day was aweful too...i had a soccer game, got kicked in the face, and had to leave the match....my face is fucked up (right side only)..and it hurts!

i had a terrible headache for something like 5 hrs plus im still feeling kinda dizzy

LOL, you gotta admit that sounds really funny, like he was a pirate or something =p

what would cause anyone to act so violently for no reason what so ever.

"The guy just went out to see what was going on and tried to separate the fight," he said. "He got stabbed two or three times."

lol, hell no, the only thing that stops me from going to Aria right now is my parents.

Since I still live with my parents, they don't want to party all nite long, I dunno why.

I'll be going to PVD, and many many times as soon as the school year is done. May 21st or sumthin.
