Exclamation Looking for good trance tunes from early 90's.

Im looking for good and old trance tunes from the time trance music began to evolve. Does anyone
who have been listened to trance since those days, recommend any good tunes from that time?

Posted by djdawn on May-27-2001 16:46:

jeez, there's so many...but here are some to begin with:

The Overlords - Sundown
Vernon - Wonderer (Instrumental)
Age Of Love - Age Of Love (Jam&Spoon Mix)
Zyon - No Fate
Underworld - Rez
Marmion - Schneberg
Humate - Love Stimulation
The Visions Of Shiva - How Much Can You Take?
4Voice 3 - Eternal Spirit
4Voice - Music Hypnotizes
Hearts Of Space - With A Medium Into Trance
oh, and
Evolution - The Experience Of Taking A Step Into Someones Dream
X-Dream - The 5th Dimension
Exit "EEE" - Epidemic
Rebel Youth - What Is Soul
Degeneration - Una Musica Senza Ritmo
Capricorn - 20Hz (Created the most exstatic athmosphere I ever witnessed)
Nikolai - Ready To Flow
Ultrahigh - The Revenge Of The Maya Gods
Gamma Loop - Eclipse
De Tune - Acid Dreams
L.S.G. - Fragile
Country & Western - Reincarnation
Paragliders - Paraglide

These are all between 91 and '94. To me they are special because they always brought something new and exciting and now they bring back nice memories...it will be hard to find some of these on the net, I think. I'd like to see what the other TAs think about these songs, if you know any.

Smile 1 more!

You're forgeting the amazing,
Mach 1 - Roadrunner.
To be honest though, a lot of tunes from pre-94 were very psychadelic and acid based, Union Jack and Art of Trance were playing some very "goa"esque stuff. Same as all music, there's a lot of classic but you haven't missed out on that much if you're into uplifting stompers!

DJ7"but you haven't missed out on that much if you're into uplifting stompers! "
I have to disagree! Were you there? I'd say most of the best stompers are all pre 95. I could post 300 uplifting tunes pre 95 if you want. They were a bit faster than today, but that only increases the energy in my eyes. Check out D.Trance 1 to 5. That's just the tip of the iceberg.
Your comment is like saying to someone: "Oh, you just started listening to trance, well get Magik 5 and 6, then you haven't missed anything."
Peace,
Dawn

how can you dismiss that music.. if he wants to see the roots of trance.. (personally, union jack and art of trance at that time made some of my favourite trance tunes) those are the artists and style of music to check out.. because their music is great !!!... .. i think a lot of those tunes are definitely worth getting into...

Cheers,
Mike

ehhm, I'm not quite sure, but I believe this is just a rip-off of Aurora Borealis - The Milky Way (check this out if you can dl it somewhere)

but if you like it, there is a 2001 version by The Joker

Well, i know Cyrus & The Joker - Milky Way is an official release. What do you mean by rip-off? And also i know about a title name "Aurora Borealis" from Astral Projection

I wanna investigate these facts, but i cant connect since yesterday to AG!! Either the satellite, nor the webpage!
Anybody have the same prob??

I mean that Aurora Borealis did the track first (in 1994) and Cyrus & The Joker basically copied the theme.

I also can't connect to AG.
If you cannot find the original (AB), PM me and I'll up it to my locker.
Oh and about that Astral Projection track: it has nothing to do with the Aurora track I'm talking about. It's just a popular title, cause that is the name of the phenomenon you see when there is a solar eclipse. It also is the name of some weed you can buy in the NL

just some other classics

Cosmic Baby - Loops Of Infinity
Viscious Circles - Poltergeist
Alien Factory - Destiny (actually anything old by alien factory)
Jam and Spoon - Follow Me

I've begun to search again also and i revisited the 2 older CD's of Vorsprung Dyk Techink compilation by PvD, I forgot how great the 3cd set is, and i love

Effective force - Illuminate the planet,
Tranceparents - Child 2,
Dance 2 Trance - Take A Free Fall,
Joe T Vanelli - Playing With The Voices In Germany.

These are apparently all 1994 or earlier. I want some more stuff just like Effective Force - Illuminate The Planet

what is the earlies BT stuff around, anyone, any really early obscure mixes or tunes not on the albums?
