Earplugs

Hey Taha, I got mine today. They're cute! And the grand total was $17US with shipping. They only charged me $5 for shipping and yet their stamps cost $7 haha

Anyway, here's the website again: www.etymotic.com
I got the transluscent blue ones and they're neat looking, plus they reduce sound levels evenly across frequencies, so voices and music are clear and undistorted.

I absolutely needed these since last time I left Aria my ears were ringing for 4 days and I thought I would go insane.

Posted by kate on Mar-19-2003 00:41:

wooow ca existe a ?!
jme disais justement que des earplugs c pourri pcq ce n'est plus le mme son du tout.... ca l'air coeurant a

pcq si ya qqchose qui m'empche d'aller au ARIA c le son trop fort
aprs ferry ca dur 4 jours et j'avais des earp. la moiti du temps...

la meilleure solution serait de diminuer le volume au ARIA un peu mais ca personne a l'air d'accord...
80% de l'actuel ce serait encore trop

the only time my ears really hurt it was with marco carola with the killing highs...

but other than that? if you stay in front of the speakers the whole time, well of course its gonna hurt, you gotta know when to take some breaks.

All I gotta say, when it comes to listening to stuff loud, I"m putting my faith in modern medicine that by the time, my hearing is fucked, I'll be able to get so crazy ass hearing aid

Posted by ed on Mar-19-2003 03:48:

kate, let me know how they turn out.. i was looking into getting some a while back.. but since i'm lamer than everyone else here and barely get out anymore..

anyways, i probably need some because over the years i've suffered noticable hearing loss on my left ear .. and i find when when i do sona/aria or whatever and wear cheap earplugs, i dont really hear what i'm suppost to hear..

I'm pretty sure that my hearing is already a lost cause, but let me know how they work anyways darling, if they're good I may want to get a pair.

ER-20 best invention AFTER the internet !

Posted by rongerabbit on Mar-19-2003 12:27:

Is Aria really that loud ???

Should I get earplugs to go see Paul Van Dyk then or what cuz I don't want to turn deaf !

Posted by RnakR on Mar-19-2003 13:46:

c'est pas une fois qui va te tuer rongerabitt

Posted by fastmp3 on Mar-19-2003 16:30:

Posted by alec on Mar-19-2003 19:00:

my ears rarely ring after a night at Aria. However, if I dance infront of the speaker it tends to happen.

Posted by MEAT on Mar-19-2003 20:53:

for those of you hoping that modern medicine will find a cure to deafness....you might be better served wearing earplugs....damage caused by excessively loud noises permanently damages the inner ear structures that allow for hearing.....even hearing aids will NOT allow you to regain the lost frequencies (once permanent damage has occured)

Posted by alec on Mar-19-2003 23:01:

I have a feeling modern medicine will be able to install new ears (digital), I mean if they can do new eyes then hearing shouldn't be all that hard. Otherwise I'll learn sign language

Posted by kate on Mar-20-2003 00:51:

they have digital eyes??? k, I need to start reading the newspaper.
