Search Function

Why have it so that you can only have 1 search every 30 seconds?

Is there apoint of having a time on it??

As doing a search creates a lot of harddisk activity on the server, which slows down the server for general forum functions such as view and browsing the threeads, i asume if swamper did have a scsi raid setup it would be able to cope but scsi raid would cost a few arms and legs

I see. I didnt realise that it put alot more activity on the hard disk. I thought it was just like that because you have to wait so long to post a message and i thought everything mighthave been set on the same time limit. Now i can see why there is a point in having to wait 30 seconds between each search.
