Shroom question.

I've been looking around...but i can't find any health risks related to shrooms. Can someone list the possible health risks when takign shrooms??
just curious.

If you have an underlying psyciatric disorder it can bring it out...
I had a friend who went crazy from Acid....
Just lost it, and is in and out of mental institutions. I think he's getting better now, from staying away from that kind of stuff.

I am under the impression that shrooms and acid are different.

Infact, very different(well, the effects maybe the same)

i dont know about rat poison in acid, seems more like an urban myth or something

I'm no scientist but the high from shrooms is just a mild food posioning is it not? Acid on the other hand is dirty, dirty stuff. i dont know what it does to you physically but it messes you up pretty bad. i remembered my spine hurt when i used to do it. Stick to the naturals, just good ol bud n zoomers for me

growing mushrooms sounds like fun. I've even found hallucinogenic mushroom spore vials for sale on ebay. appearently they're legal in that state (for scientific research of course!)

Then once you grow the mushrooms, you can do all sorts of spore combinations and stuff, and develope your own breed even.

Yeah I don't really know too much about the pharmacokinetics and stuff like that man haha. You're taking a risk whatever you do, even if you're taking a prescription drug. I always tell people my health has been more adversely affected by prescription drugs than non-prescription drugs, and that's the truth. If you have a lot of allergies like me, some synthetic chemicals will really fuck you up!


My friend is in some rural shit town outside of Ft worth now, and it's been awhile since I've seen him. I think he's doing better now from what I've heard. I still think that if you're mentally unstable you should stay away from that kind of stuff, because you'll have a brain chemistry imbalance to begin with. I don't know about anything else.

Wait ya I do haha. I can tell you that with a psychoactive substance like coke, acid, pot, E etc. it "tricks" your brain into thinking it's a certain brain chemical or neurotransmitter. For example with cocaine, your brain can't tell the diff between teh cocaine molecule and the dopamine molecule. The cocaine molecules fit into the receptor sites for dopamine, and you get the same kind of feeling you would have if you had way too much dopamine. Over time your brain starts to produce less of its own dopamine, and/or it lessens the amount of dopamine receptor sites in an attempt to regain homeostasis (balance). This is what leads to tolerance and sometimes addiction. I'm pretty sure with E, your brain thinks it's the neurotransmitter serotonin, and it fits into the receptors for serotonin. So again, it wouldn't be too good for a depressed person to take that.

It's a similar thing like if you started taking hydrocortisone (or another hormone). Your adrenal glands stop making their own cortisol to try to regain a balance.

Here's another question....

Would it be better to shroom for my first time in a group of shroom virgins, or by myself *i've done a lot of reading on it*

I enjoy being stoned by myself just as much in a social gathering,
but i'm not sure how i'll react to shrooms, i'm thinking, my friends are retards, i'll be better off alone, am i wrong?

its not food poisoning, but in some sense is a toxic chemical entering the brain. thing to remember is just that shrooms are natural. this as compared to e and acid which are produced in a lab and you're never sure how. mushrooms grow in the wild and have been a big part of latin american and siberian cultures since god knows how long ago. the incas and mayans even referred to mushrooms as the 'nectar of the gods' etc.

and i would not do this on my own as the first time. definitely with other people that have done it before. no matter how organic, something can always go wrong. better safe than sorry.

I'd probably do it with some friends if I were you. At least that way you'll have a better grip on reality . Depends on how much you do also.

The only health risks I know of is that it's basically a mild poison. The only negative effects are the stomach pains, but those usually go away in 20-30 mins or so. After that, it's time to buckle up

sometimes crazy people can wierd you out when noodlein, but sometimes they just crack you up and keep you from thinking too much.
I say fry with a couple buddies that are very talkative and like to go crazy and are down to go off and do some missions and shit in the forest.
PS:First times the greatest cause you don't know what to expect!
