Just said by Brokaw on MSNBC, saying we shouldn't damage the country too much "because we will own it in a few days."

So much for "liberation."

Posted by occrider on Mar-20-2003 03:25:

Brokaw is an idiot

Posted by occrider on Mar-20-2003 03:29:

Did brokaw just use someone with a bayonett chasing a guy around an orchestra pit as an analogy? The guy has lost his marbles.

Yea I have to admit the military naming conventions are pretty retarded. Anyway it looks like tonight's strike was only a prelude of what's to come. Just a few missile strikes. All bets are off as to when the actual ground war will start.

but wouldnt it even make more sense strategicly to attack the weapons of mass destruction that the US has so much proof about, thereby eliminating the threat of Iraqi retaliation, and leaving Saddam little to no options?

yes it would...but in time my friend.....the CIA had good reason to suspect these leaders to be gathering...so they took the rare oppurtunity/....i think they US deserves some credit for that....

but if they did that then they wouldn't have any weapons of mass destruction left to prove that Iraq had them, now would they?

Your such a fucking idiot.

Do you actually think the Iraqi people are happy that for the second time in less than two decades they will see the very bombs that they once saw blow their people apart.

You dont have to know someone in Iraq to understand the anti-american sentiment that these people feel about your government. And they are not alone in this world!

yeah poor people of Iraq, that are scared that Saddam will use chemical weapons. How about the Kurds, running to the mountains, because they dont want the chance of dying by the means of gasses and chemicals - you know, the stuff saddam pulls on them every once in a while.

Angry at Bush? Reaaaaalllly?! Read below

props!

whatever they call it, operation this, operation that - the goal is to rid saddam with minimal casualties,....

sometimes i really wonder about the stuff you say Cyrus_King....makes me wonder if you really believe what you type, or if you're just fucking with us.

the objective of the US Military is to eradicate the Iraqi regime...not its people..although assured there will be accidents as always (evident from afghanistan) that innocent Iraqis will be killed which is too bad and is something they have no control over but to be as careful as possible. i do have faith that there will be few innocent iraqi casualties.

We don't know whether the iraqi people are either angry or happy about the US taking out its government cuz we dont even live there. its obviously well documented of saddam's abuse of human rights and i don't think anybody would want to live under that government. i think the number of innocent civilians killed will determine the iraqi people's reaction and feeling toward this war

Well, if they hit a chemical storage facility, I'm sure a large cloud of chemicals would rise and make it obvious on what was inside.

God you're such a dumbass. Iraq has nothing to do with 11.9. Iraqis and Al Quaeda used to hate each other prior to the American attack on Iraq.

Did you ever think about the fact, that in this war far more people
might die than on sept 11? Besides, people in Iraq are also threatened-
Are you still "for bombing them back to the stone age"? How can people be so ignorant.
War is and will never be a solution!
