Exclamation Protests are worthless

All these people thinking that if they protest the war bush will stop what he is doing are idiots. he has already made up his mind and he doesn't care about the people of the other countries as we have already seen with the protests all around the world. after all that he still went in.

No matter what you do Bush will still have the americans support and he won't stop this shit until hes done so pretty much protesting is a waste of your precious time

part of the first Gulf War came to and end due to US public opinion against it .. and so did the Vietnam war.

protesting might not be useful .. but it could be the only thing the world's got ..

Posted by malek on Mar-21-2003 00:24:

sorry buddy, but you are being the idiot thinking that millions of people marching doesn't affect the authorities in place.

Of course you won't see Bush say out loud that the demonstrators will change his mind, but it affects his decision making... look at how the war started, it was a mild attack because they don't want civilian casualties which would show an ugly face of this war to Americans. The moment the number of casualities on the American side hits the 500 number, look out for huge demonstrations in the US.

And btw staying at home and smoking a joint really doesn't change a thing

Posted by washer_D on Mar-21-2003 00:36:

your also being an idiot though because your not thinking of the millions more of american people sitting on there asses at home who support the war. the people against it are almost nothing compared to the people for it and people will always stay on bush's side no matter as long as he keeps saying hes gonna free the Iraqis people.

KarateKid

i'm just WAITING for Malek to start quoting some stats here ..

Posted by malek on Mar-21-2003 01:02:

hehe i won't post any polls results because I don't believe in them

What I will say instead is that historically, Americans always stand behind the stance their president takes during war. But believe me, that will change drastically once those filled green bags will start arriving on the American soil.

It took 20 something casualities for Americans to retire from Somalia, about 450+ pulvirized troops in Beirut in 82 and they pulled out asap.

wait and see.

you are always welocome here!!!

Posted by malek on Mar-21-2003 01:14:

i know bush won't stop the war just because my fat ass will be on the streets saturday. It is a shame to start something as big as this war and then pulling out like that, he will pass as a coward for the rest of history.

that being said, showing him and 200000 others that i am against this war is what I can do personnaly against this madness.

Posted by washer_D on Mar-21-2003 01:16:

aight then you do what you will as for me I'll smoke my pipe in hopes that it'll become a peace pipe

Posted by brunette on Mar-21-2003 01:18:

By sitting on your ass and doing nothing you are approving of America's actions. I don't think demonstrations will lessen the load of bombs dropped or the number of civilian casualties, but by protesting I am stating that I do not tolerate America's proceedings and do not support them.. and that I am against the war damn it!

Hahahaa!
Two of the funniest things I've heard yesterday in Bush's speech were him blaming these attacks on Saddam (now where in the fucken world is reasoning in that?!), and then Bush making a promise to Iraqi people that he is coming in to save them and free them! WTF is that bullshit all about?!

Iraq has been under Saddam's rule for the last 20+ years, and just now the US found it convenient to start worrying about all those "supposedly torchured and killed" people in Iraq. I find that very hard to believe...

And asking Saddam to disarm and give up all the major missiles and weapons to the US/UN, so they can leave him defenceless and bomb the shit out of him anyway later on seems like a pretty "fair" offer... I'd do the same thing Saddam did - say "Fuck You, Bush, come and get me".

And the most interesting fact, that most of the dumb fucken Americans are overlooking since they trust their loved president so much is that Iraq is the second biggest world supplier of OIL (right after Saudi Arabia), and whoever tells me (even Bush) that one of the main intentions in this war is to get ahold of that oil is full of shit!

I'm with the Iraqi all the way on this one...

By the way, this Bush dude seems to me like a very arrogant mother ******, threatening to attack Korea because of their nuclear power too (what kind of a reason is that?!)... I certainly hope he will try and do something stupid like that, because then Koreans would just slap him in the face, send a couple of nukes (yes, they can reach the US) towards Bush, and the rest would be just history in the making (World War III anyone?).

Posted by malek on Mar-21-2003 01:32:

to add to your comments Fantom, for 30+ years the US didn't give a shit about the people living in iraq even supporting Saddam in his war against Iran by supplying him weapons and chemical weapons (they did give the same things to the Iranian side but everyone learnt that later). Saddam gazed iraqis and the US didn't say a thing, now you tell me that the US suddenly cares about the iraqi people?!?! haha hypocrites.

Posted by malek on Mar-21-2003 01:40:

one last thing before I forget (sorry about the numerous posts).

The USA did permit the Turkish forces to enter northern Irak where there's a great majority of Kurdish people. These people had a big hope that the US would let them live in peace in the future Iraq (an autonomous province of some kind) and what do they have today, geting backstabbed by allowing Turkish army in. This is a direct confrontation between the Kurds and Turks and a huge set back to the promises made by American officials to the Kurdish opositions.

Another example of how the US really CARES about the Iraqi people.

itrs not poitless my foolish friend

u see now that the world is protesting against it, he cant show that he has willingly succombed to the calls of ordinary people and look bad so hes gone on with the war...but he is sure to stop the war soon to prevent further hatred because of the protests

Posted by The Highroller on Mar-21-2003 01:49:

i said to myself last night "wow there hasn't been any flaming or arguing on TOTA lately, I wonder what's wrong?"

Why don't you got tell those millions of people who did protest that they did it for nothing, and then see what they do to you. Ya, thats what I thought.

Posted by Ray_Finkle on Mar-21-2003 03:53:

What would they do? Respond with violence (irony++)? Just like them, I have the democratic right to walk beside them and say that I support this disarmament of Iraq. Oh how I love protestors. Especially the ones who "protest globalisation". I love how their way of protesting is commiting juvenile acts of vandalism. I love how you could ask any sampling of people at a protest what exactly they are protesting against and you would get atleast 3/4 of them not knowing what the fuck they are protesting against. All they wanna do is wreck shit.

why dont u take some video footage and prove this????people arent stupid to just follow the heard without knowing wat the fuck they are about

Posted by Ray_Finkle on Mar-21-2003 04:08:

um...Since I don't have any personal footage of any protests (since I have no reason to go), I direct you to any footage off of any reliable media-source of the following events:

1. G8 summit when it was in Genoa, Italy
2. Summit of the americaa (or whatever it was called) when it was in quebec.
3. WTO summit when it was held in Seattle

Sure, I beleive that there are many protestors out there that actually know what's going on and I give them much respect for protesting. It's the idiots who don't have an opinion, don't know what they are doing at the protest, and are only there to create as much of a ruckass as possible. You ask any protest organizer who they hate and they will say the douchebags that wreak havoc. The good message is lost in all the wreckage these idiots create.

Yep, but for the most part they know what a hell they're protesting against... and I guess they realize sooner or later that peacefull protests are getting them nowhere (since nobody cares about a bunch of people walking around peacefully disagreeing with some other bunch of people), they turn to blowing shit up and causing mess, because then they do get noticed. And that's one of the ways to draw attention to yourself and your point of view - BLOW SOME SHIT UP!

Now, it might be the same reasoning behind Bin Laden's blowing up of those Twin Towers.
