KarateKid War in IRAQ - Yay or Nay ?

alrite .. with all the Iraq war threads going on in here, i just had to find out the demographics of support on the forums. this poll isn't intended to find your reasons WHY you support or don't support a war.. (THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER THREADS TO DO THAT!). I just wanted to get a count out of curiousity.

OK, I can't answer this.

If US was able to convince me that Iraq is building nuclear/biological/chemical weapons I would say yes. But since they haven't convinced me of that, I would have to say no.

Oh c'mon, just cuz he kills people for no reason other than his rampant megalomania!

So gassing, torture, and rape are part of his repetoire...he's probably a nice guy.

ok..ok....I hope they fry the ******.

Yes, with some conditions.

If US is gonna destroy Iraq with missiles, then they better help build it up again after they have removed Saddam from command.

And since Bush has already agreed to use the frozen assets from Sept.11 (which is 1.4 billion) to doing this, I support the war...

till today, Osama Bin Ladden is breathing and out there somewhere...what makes u think they can do anything about Saddam Hussein....hes too smart for the Americans who think that he is just sitting in his palace with his family and army officials waiting to be bombed

KarateKid

Posted by malek on Mar-21-2003 19:14:

initial estimates add up to about anything between 70 and 80B USD to rebuild Iraq to the state it used to be before the first gulf war. That 1.4B is just a drop in the ocean. How about the fees that Iraq has still to pay for war reparations, guess how they'll pay it... yes iraqi petrol

you see .. some don't say yes to war, instead they say yes to regime change and no to containment.

(ps. i'll refrain from announcing which i voted)

Posted by infinity HiGH on Mar-21-2003 20:42:

I voted indifferent, or confused, which would be my case.

I don't want a war, cause Iraq will be in ruin after that, and the people will continue to suffer. It's not like after US is done with the bombing Iraq will change into a country of prosperity and oppurtunity. The government they put in there will be full of shit just like every other government in the world, cept since they're NEW to "democracy" the people will be suffering.

But on the other hand; Saddam isn't putting the money he makes off oil to good use. I'm not saying he's putting it towards WMD's, but he sure as hell isn't using it to help the average Iraqian. He leads his people by instilling fear in them, and he *may* have bio/chem weapons. He also violated countless UN laws, but it's not like it matters, cause who hasn't violated them? lol...so yeah...I'm confused...thus I'm not letting this war thing to bother me too much...

NO!
The war would leave many dead, the whole country destroyed. U have to also take in the consideration that US went to war even tho UN was against it. Which basically means, that the whole stability that the world had after Second World War is GONE! Now americans can do whatever they want, and nobody will stop them.
All their arguments about weapons of mass-destruction is just BS! It's just an excuse to start the war.
