Florida club scene

Yo he he,

I aint never been in the Florida forum b4, I usually slink around in the Uk one, I'm a UK clubber and luv the Uk clubbing scene 2 bits.

I'm going 2 Florida in 2 wks time and was wondering if there are any good clubs to check out and what type of music they play?

Pls someone get bak 2 me and let me knoe,

Welp just to let you know the Orlando scene SUCKS! Djs have cancelled left and right because of lack of people. ICON used to be the major club to go to for great acts but since the beginning of the new yr they have had at least 3 djs cancel. Digweed was just here on monday.. which was a shocking surprise. Most of the clubs here have switched to top 40 and hip hop I have now resorted to staying at home.. and inviting people over and having spin parties. Everyone brings their records and we take turns spinning all night. Miami scene is alot better. I am now going to start traveling down there since its the closest place to go to see good acts and to visit with STARFOX!! (MWA!)

Yea ICON used to be halfway decent..

Jacksonville is even worse, so i dont wanna hear too much complaining! We pretty much do the same thing here, just spin for ourselves considering me and my friends are better then most local djs...

Next time theres a big party in orlando lemme know!!

well, since orlando, miami, and jacksonville have been spoken for ill put my 2 cents for Tampa,... Tampa is mainly breaks which isnt really my thing but is what makes tampa unique,.. orlando is mainly prog/house, Gainesville is house,.. Jacksonville is mainly house,.. Tallahassee is mostly top 40, and Miami is hip hop, trance, and house,... tell us where in Florida you are visiting?? you can be in key west and drive 22 hours to pensacola and still be in florida, its that big...

HAHAHAH. if i even had any friends that spun maybe we'd have some fun here in tally. looks like i'm the only one out of my group of friends with a setup now (just got a mixer off ebay).

Gainesville is House, which sucks, but DnB/Jungle is making a MAJOR comeback to it's former HOME! We have at least 2 DnB nights per week which DON'T suck! Thanks to Trey Swift (Phase 3) and some others the Gainesville scene is actually not the worst in the state anymore. Not much Trance, but every now and then Elev8 or someone will have a decent night.

Again, mostly spin parties, but no Trance at those, all DnB or House.

Bobbo, Raverchik...if there looks to be any good parties let me know, I'll gladly make the drive for decent shit!
