Congrats for Toronto Fans

Nice to see, the toronto fans at the ACC on saturday not booing the us anthem. Whether you argre with the war or not, still no reason to boo a national anthem like montreal fans did thursday night. So congrats toronto.

i agree with you Time2Burn, i have heard countless times the canadian national anthem being booed, and yes i speak to a lot of americans everyday and many dont even know where canada is!!

i remember when fans at a Detroit Pistons vs. Raptors game boooed the Canadian anthem .. is this was during the friendly fire bombing of the Canadian soldiers in Afganistan to add insult to injury. again, glad we didn't boo.

The Americans booed the Canadian anthem on many ocazionzzz. Very stupid. They just jelous cuz we always beat them in hockey. Even that time when the usa womens team played the canadian team the USA women were stepping on the canadian flag in their changrooms. and in the end they lost and they booed. Ofcourse hehe I feel sorry for that entire country.

It was wrong of Canadians booing their national anthem for the first time. This is unexceptable. I'm sure it was a message to the USA gov! And it said. "Stop the war, stop killing innocent people, war is not the answer"

thats downright pathetic and digusting; on both the Montrwalers part for booing, and Americans for booing our anthem and flag when our soldier got killed because of them.

I think I'm gonna take back most of the things I've said about Americans. I regret saying stuff like they're respectful and intelligent people when they do shit like that (i totally forgot about he booing at the Detroid vs Toronto game a while back, and the many other occasions they'd booed our anthem).

Surprisingly, the Toronto fans have some class. Our city is known for having some harsh and critical fans (especially when it comes to hockey), but hey, at least they got respect

in all fairness to montrealers.. the last game they played, against carolina I think, there were a few people who started booing but the boos were quickly drowned by cheers at the end.

yes that is true, even if there is booing even in the US it is only a small minority of the people, and most of the people are good.

Booing the anthem, now thats just poor. Yes there are stupid americans that probably have booed the canadian anthem but why would you ever ant to be anything like the typical american? Shit i am american. i know and love both america and canada. i know the canadian anthem and do sing it when in canada. We are not all bad. Many of us love you canadians. I think it is disgusting that in a period of time where being an individual is so important i am looked down on for my citzenship. Know me before you boo me. Congrats to montreal!!!!!!!! your now on a freedom fry level!!!! and i also think that is the stupidest thing i have ever see.

I wasn't even remotely surprised when I heard of this. Montreal hockey fans have been spoiled for decades yet no fans are quicker to boo their own team. I thought I'd seen it all when a fan threw a banana at Kevin Weeks but they continue to sink to new lows (booing the anthem). I won't bash the city too much though because I have a hockey tourney there in a month and its a great place to party.
